Let's be honest about it. Vestergaard is rubbish, Bertrand is past it, but Ings is still making and scoring goals, albeit in a team which, now that it's sold its star player, is no better than Saints and we've now found a good replacement for him in Broja.

Vestergaard & Bertrand went to Leicester at different stages of their career, in Bertrand's case it was money and the same could be said for Vestrgaard in that he is unlikely to be a first choice with everyone fit.
Ings is still a good player, but we all know that he went to Villa for money, they are not a side that are going to challenge for anything in the League at least, saying he went for the "challenge " is predictable, but we all know that was a load of b*llocks

I guess you may as well go to a mid table club like Villa ,win nothing but earn more money than staying at a club like Saints and win nothing . We all know this will never change until we have decent investment. Villa might not win anything but footballers like to see a club progressing to stop them leaving. I’m delighted that Bertrand and Vestergaard have been dropped. As I’ve said before you only have to go on their forums to find out how their fans feel about Vestergaard. Salisu is a massive upgrade.

Agreed. Salisu is a far better central defender than Vestergaard so in some areas we are still making progress as you can see from how few goals we concede now compared to when we had Vestergaard.
In the 6 games Vestergaard has started for Leicester, they haven't kept a single clean sheet, whereas in our last 6 without him, we have kept 3. He really is a massive weak link in any defence.
He was rubbish at Borussia Moenchengladbach too. The lesson is never sign a defender from a team that suffers a series of heavy defeats. It's not certain that he's rubbish but it's likely.

Agree with all that has been said above, but Salisu does still have major mistakes in his game and we saw that yesterday. In the last 10 mins - or was it a misunderstanding with McCarthy - but nevertheless against a better player that incident on the edge of the box could gave been very costly with not only the 2 points dropped, but also in the overall morale of the team and supporters

Salisu is still learning and will only get better, he will make some mistakes, but he is far better than Vestrgaard, or any other central defender we have had since Fonte & VVD left, we have started to get recruitment right again

Not disagreeing with that and although he has definitely learnt a lot since his debut when he certainly showed promise as well as a few mistakes, at Premiership level to progress we cannot afford too many expensive mistakes. But that position is one that will invite more scrutiny that others apart from maybe GK
Lucky they had a player that could score 4 against Spartak, I see once again Bertrand and Vestergaard are the bottom 2 rated players for Leicester today.

That Patson Daka is some player. All 4 Leicester goals scored by him tonight. Signed, like Sadio Mané, from Red Bull Salzburg. He has a great future ahead of him.
