Last night was of the best atmospheres I have experienced at St Mary's stadium. Lots of Southampton young blokes and older blokes too, who had a few too many, "standing" in the ailes , vociferously getting behind the team. It was tense, exciting and loud. The Northam, Itchen North, Kingsland North and extending around the ground were the loudest I have had. A great night. I want more Friday night games please. Nothing like an evening game under the lights. | |

I couldn’t go as was working in London until late. I was surprised at the size of the crowd and feel a bit guilty about not putting my ticket back for sale (as none of my immediate circle were able to use it either) - hate to see it wasted. |  |

I think the Itchen and North Kingsland were a bit quieter than they have been for recent games, but elsewhere in the ground the noise levels were definitely up, which has to be a positive |  |
