| 5 things at St Mary’s last night 12:29 - Jan 12 with 1696 views | SaintNick | 1. The stewarding in my block was awful, there were a lot of non regulars there who didn’t know were they were sitting and the agency stewards didn’t have a clue 2. Looked more than 22k there last night when I checked the on line sales there were around 6k tickets on sale I couldn’t see where there were 9 k empty seats the Chapel was empty but that only holds around 6k and there were at least 1000 in there 3. It was good to see happiness back after the game 4. Getting in was slow as with so many casual fans they hadn’t a clue how to use the tickets and push the turnstile 5. Our kit is horrible how can we sing come on you reds there is barely any red in it whoever signed this off should be sacked | |

| 5 things at St Mary’s last night on 18:27 - Jan 12 with 1346 views | felly1 | Lots of Chinese people on last night. I was surrounded by them. I guess they're students... Some were clearly Saints fans and others seemed to be in the Haaland fan club. I thought about 25k too. | | | |
| 5 things at St Mary’s last night on 20:53 - Jan 12 with 1159 views | Buggalugs | Had 3 separate football touristy type people in my section casually drinking beer in their seats without any stewards calling them out. Even had one bloke stood at the top of the steps as you enter the stand, with 2 pints in his hand, asking the steward where his seat was. Conversation went on for ages (steward didn’t have a clue) before bloke headed up towards the back, supping on the way. I did wonder how many people in that crowd were actually Saints fans or had ever even been to a game before. I suspect saints_fan_73 and his Liverpool supporting mates were not the only non-Saints fans in attendance. | |

At the Brighton game there were loads of weird people wondering round as if they’ve never been to a football match , getting up every 5 minutes to get another drink or food, reckon I saw about 10 minutes of play the rest I was letting people past.

Controlling people getting into the stadium was particularly poor and for some reason, they always like to stand in the stair exits at full time, getting in the way of everyone - despite me telling them every home game !! the queues to get into block F of the Kingsland, 15 mins before kick off, were the longest I have ever seen, stretching back round the 'burger van' on the corner by the family centre. 2. Was saying on the night that there were loads of empty seats, but there seemed more than the 23k they announced. Would say more like 25k. 3. It wasn't just a win, but a great win against a group of Superstars. We were well up for it on the night and the crowd got behind the team. Obviously the 2 goals helped !! Smiles all round !! 4. We got into the stadium at 7:45pm, without having to queue at all for the Family Centre. However, the queues to get into block F of the Kingsland, 15 mins before kick off, were the longest I have ever seen, stretching back round the 'food truck' on the corner by the family centre and heading towards the Chapel !! 5. Have said this all season when we sing - it should be 'Come on you mostly White with a small Red stripe'. It is supposedly based on our shirt from I think, the 99-00-01 seasons. Didn't our sash shirt of 10-11 have arguably less red than the current shirt ?

| 5 things at St Mary’s last night on 14:43 - Jan 13 with 781 views | Southamptonfan | The points mentioned here arn't surprising. This game went to general sale without any restrictions to buying tickets. News gets around (in the local universities and within a 50 miles radius) that there are tickets available. Neutrals and tourists all want a chance to see City, if there are some spare seats, so without ticket restrictions, I'm sure there were a fair few there. | |
