You never know, as he’s hardly been that great since leaving us, hence why he’s cheap enough for West Ham to get him and why Villa are selling him in the first place!
And even then, us signing him would’ve only delayed our number 9 issue, as he’d of only lasted a season or so, and even then who’s to say he won’t get any major injuries or like I said before, not be as good as used to be |  |
