Looks like he’s going to be our striker purchase for this window
Our problem is clear and has been since Ings left. We’re creating chances and getting in good positions but we haven’t got a striker who can score or even get into a dangerous position or stay onside
Che is useless as his stats confirm, Armstrong is even worse as his stats confirm and Mara is even worse as his stats confirm
So what’s the answer? We’ll blow £20m on Sulemana who’s Ligue 1 stats are even worse than Mara’s we’re in France
This is not flaming rocket science. We need goals to keep us in the PL. Our owners are looking at players with strike rates of one in six or seven in inferior leagues

all about the owners business plan, buy young and sell on for a profit. An experienced late 20s striker would not make a profit after two years.

I got mocked on here for saying it 6 weeks ago, but we should have been in for Weghorst as soon as he scored those goals against Argentina.
We could have done a deal with Burnley which would have involved Tella staying there, possibly permanently.

I follow Stade, he's a good and fast not he's not quite what we need but he can in the centre. Stade have their own injury problems up front and have taken on Toko-Ekambi from Lyon. At 30 a very experienced player something we really miss up front. |  | | |

We will be left on 1 February with just one player who can hold the ball high up the pitch and bring others into the game, to enable us to retain possession of the ball in the opposition half.
And that will be Che Adams.

Che is not a bad player, his form has just dropped like a stone with us and is nothing like the player he could be.
If we had bought a good centre forward to partner him at the start of the season he may have turned out alright.

That's always been the case with Che Adams. He needs to be one of two up front, but Hassenhutl is partly responsible for destroying his confidence with the lone striker set up that was over used. | | | |

With Adams we've been carrying dead wood for years, he doesn't have the intelligence for a striker, he's slow to react, always makes the wrong decision and most importantly has no guile. He can run a lot and that's about it. If you need someone to hold up play and take a shot I'd try Lyanco, him and Armstrong might be our Toshak and Keegan. | | | |

There are lots of strikers we should have been in for but our owners' main concern is buying promising 19 and 20-year-olds who they hope they can sell for a profit, and, as the EFL Trophy results show, a team of promising youngsters doesn't do very well against mature players.
