I can see there being a lot of trouble and possible violence next Thursday evening. They will absolutely take the p!ss, and Saints will be absolutely dead and buried, with Saints fans with a short fuse as it is. Fans in the pubs before the game for a night game too. Could be the game where the Saints fans snap. It's the ultimate embarrassment, Bournemouth taking over the South, above us. [Post edited 18 Apr 2023 22:55]

They'll only ever be the 2nd club on the south coast. Brighton are clearly the top club now. Next season we'll be competing with Plymouth for the 3rd place spot. [Post edited 19 Apr 2023 8:27]

I agree with that sentiment, but will be going, although we must remember they are just a tin pot club with about 8-10k hard core supporters. Even if they did get a new ground what capacity could they ever think about filling. They will never be a "big club" and will be back down with us in the Championship very soon if not next year, although that is increasingly looking unlikely
And will they ever realise that they are NOT our rivals and never will be although I do hate the fact that they are above us at the moment |  |

I couldn't give a shit about the fact bournemouth are above us, other than they're a team that's above us and we need more below to us to stay up.
Whenever i see stuff like this i just think it looks massively tinpot, same as if our fans were singing about spurs, there's no rivalry, no derby and no interest towards them, all there is is a massive chip on some of their younger fans shoulders.
It's a prime example of the soccer am generation being told they "need" to have a derby and people playing pantomime to follow suit. |  | | |
