5 Things About Birmingham Game 10:35 - Oct 29 with 1794 viewsSaintNick

1. It was great to see Marian Pahars back at Southampton, although I didn't personally see him, just the photos.

2. Another decent crowd yesterday almost 29,000 for a televised lunchtime kick off

3. Good support from both the Northam & Itchen North and the back of the Chapel made themselves heard.

4. We are starting to look like a team and the manager is using the squad well.

5. 4th place and just need to keep getting more than 1.63 points per game average, in the last week we have played 3 games, taken 7 points and averaged 2.33 points per game, this has been a pivotal week for Saints

It was just a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Bit hairy for 10 minutes or so after they got it back to 2-1, but I could see the benefits of our possession football at that time.

I didn’t think Birmingham were very good, so Eustace must have done great things to get them in the play-off spots.

I thought Sulemana looked a real threat against a half-decent right-back.

From the back of Block 2, I could hear the lads at the back of the Chapel, so well done to them.

Birmingham fans were very good as well, both in terms of numbers and noise.

I absolutely loved Pahars as a Saints player and he always seemed to enjoy being at Southampton. It is a bit of a shame that the Scandinavian and Baltic country supply line of good footballers to Saints has dried up as they were a good source for a while. I am not sure whether they are not producing them anymore or we are no longer scouting in those regions.

People flooding out for a half time pint of piss on 40 minutes missed a treat listening to Mazza.
Spoke very well.
Interesting he said his son was born in Southampton. Sign him on.
A good player for us and deserved the applause.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

What Adam Armstrong could learn from Pahars. Then again, I suppose you can’t coach a cool head ?
