Club Shop / Megastore / whatever it's called 10:40 - Jan 9 with 1144 viewsPatfromPoole

I visited Fortress St. Mary's yesterday and was in the Shop whilst there.

Plenty of staff.

Not a lot of stock though.

A mate knew I was going and asked for one of the retro Draper Tools red and white shirts; they however only had it in XXL or 3XL (do they think a lot of our fanbase are heavily overweight?).

I asked the girl at the checkout if they had it in Large size.

She said "Ah, somebody else asked me the same question this morning. But no, we don't."

I asked if it could be ordered online, but the reply was:

"No, all the stock we have and sizes we have are what you see in the shop now."

Seemed rather odd to me.

It's a big shop, but it doesn't strike me they are getting the most out of it.

Poll: Would you take going down to League 1 if it meant new owners coming in?

One of our Saints group got the Draper Blue Away shirt for Xmas

They apparently sold well as Xmas presents (shall we say for the slightly older fans that can remember the Draper Days !!), so all that remain in the shop are the left overs from those that didn't sell - which to be fair, are usually the XS or XXL / XXXL.

I am not sure why anyone would want to buy that Pompey blue shirt, can you imagine if Pompey produced an away kit of red & white stripes ?

Perhaps though it does highlight that red & white stripes is iconic and individual, a blue shirt is used by loads of teams both home and away

So out of 92 league clubs who each have 2 change shirts so that is 276 shirts on the market, you can come up with 4, I could add Lincoln City & Exeter to help you out, can you come up with anymore then we can get on to who plays in blue shirts
