Top 5 goals of the Season 12:09 - Jun 2 with 1735 views | PatfromPoole | Put together in a bit of a rush, but here goes.... 1. Rothwell v Huddersfield (home) 2. Armstrong v Leeds (Wembley) 3. Fraser v Hull (away) 4. Brooks v Birmingham (away) 5. Walker-Peters v Preston (away) Probably missed out a few which should have been included, in truth.

Top 5 goals of the Season on 15:54 - Jun 2 with 1572 views | felly1 | All gooduns. Here's a few alternatives. 1. Stuey Armstrong. Free kick away at Stoke. 2. Tella. Away at Plymouth 3. Mara. Home FA cup Watford. 4. Downes. Swansea away. 5. Edozie. QPR. Home
Top 5 goals of the Season on 08:48 - Jun 3 with 1325 views | Ifonly | I think my favourite was AA against Ipswich away. I prefer team goals to flashy finishes and this one was a good example of what we should have done more of - moving the ball from back to front quickly but with great skill. The best bit of a good move was a superb ball from Stuey that cut through the Ipswich defence.
Top 5 goals of the Season on 08:57 - Jun 3 with 1317 views | SaintNick | Ryan Fraser at Millwall, in essence not spectacular, but it emphasised the fighting never say die spirit we had built, Adam Armstrong chased a ball down to the byeline he had no right to keep in and managed to pull it back for Fraser to smash home from close range

Oh yes, dammit; I should have included that goal at Ipswich. Was a beauty.

Top 5 goals of the Season on 10:09 - Jun 3 with 1297 views | PatfromPoole | If anything that goal at Ipswich should be second. The thing about Armstrong’s goal at Wembley is that it will go down as a legendary goal, in the same way as Shane at Anfield. But in truth it was abysmal defending by Leeds. Quite what Rodon (who we have been linked with) and Ampudu were doing to leave Armstrong on his own only they will know.

Fully agree with that. It was abysmal defending for the Wembley goal but I can't argue with anyone putting that goal first. It will always be iconic and was the most important goal of the season bar none. Tbf, it was also a great finish by AA. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I thought the ball rebounded to Armstrong off a Millwall player. A lot of players however would have let the ball roll through their legs and take a corner. Armstrong showed a lot of nous in playing it back to Fraser instead. I suspect Millwall weren’t expecting him to do that.

V WBA SEMIFINAL 3 F.DOWNS V WATFORD 4 J.ARIBO V BIRMINGHAM 5 WEEMAN V HULL/MILLWALL I have to add special mentions for Charlie's goal against Plymouth 30 seconds after they had their goal chalked off for offside that certainly had special feels as did Mara's goal that made it 4-3 against Huddersfield [Post edited 3 Jun 2024 16:25]
