He must surely be heading for pastures new.

He has been highly critical in the last few weeks, and his tweet on X last week about the culture at the club was hugely damning.

Amazed that the Club haven't taken some form of sanction against him, as he is openly exposing the wounds which are rotting away at the Club.

Feels to me that he is having a bit of fun before he moves into a role somewhere else.

A journalist doing what he's paid to do

Quite refreshing seeing someone else confirming what some supporters suspected

I found Adam Blackmore's interviews with Ralf very frustrating towards the end of his tenure, he clearly liked Ralf and seemed to let that affect his interviews with him, always seemed to give him a ready made answer in his questions after another poor defeat "So Ralf, another disappointing result today against your injury ravaged squad"

I suspect this culture issue has been around since Martin left, Juric came in and told the players a few home truths and that was the beginning of the end for him

I'd have thought if there were any issues his editor would have reined it in by now. And surely the club would have said something if they didn't like that tweet

I strongly suspect this to be true. For years now, apparently better players have been signed but mysteriously failed to displace one of the bigger personalities in the dressing room from first team selection. I suspect that managers are intimidated at the prospect of breaking up a dressing room cartel, as whenever they've tried to do so theres been an apathetic response from the rest of the team. I believe that Sunderland experienced similar dynamics in their darkest years.

Great to see. The Echo had hitherto been the club’s friendly mouthpiece.

The players, manager, and board need challenging. If anything our friend in the Echo is too mild.
