Those of us who lived through it back in 76, received no help from the authorities at the time, apparently Andy Burnham will be recognising this as soon as he becomes PM and will role out counselling for those that survived through that summer.
Not for us was the luxury of schools closing, air conditioning cheap ice cream & ice making machines.
We just had to carry on regardless and many of us suffered the condition that only recently has been recognised.
