Regarding the dirty toilets, dirty seats, overgrown weeds etc, who is responsible for the day to day upkeep of the Stadium? Do we have a Stadium Manager and if so what would be his job spec? Thanks.

I`m pretty sure you commented on my post Yorkshire

Something along the lines off it being a very generous offer

As opposed to Flyerdale who said that I should only get free tickets to one or two games

Clearly doesn`t know the cost of paint and wages I would have to pay

But its the Dale, the club I love, saw my first game in 1959, as for contacting the club AS SOMEONE HAS SAID WHY THE FOOK CANT THEY BE MORE PROACTIVE??

Who did you contact at the club?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

I must have seen you in there but obviously we don't know each other ( Roccy didn't blow everybodies cover) or else I would have bought you a pint. Yes, it's a bit embarrassing isn't it? I looked around and thought even 2K spent on it could work wonders. Then I reasoned with myself and thought in the grand scheme of things there are probably far bigger plans already in the pipeline!!

I spent some time in the FC United Supporters Bar in their main stand, it knocks spots off anything we can provide at Spotland.

A very nice gesture TS,a couple on here know who I am but tend to keep myself to myself which may surprise a few on here!!
If there's no immediate plans to do major work on the bar area in there it could really do with a once over whatever goes on,tbf lots of away clubs have some brilliant facilities and there's no reason to let things get so scruffy, even more so now after buying the ground etc..

The original idea on forums was for everybody to keep themselves to themselves because it works better that way, then somebody goes out of their way to 'out' everybody. Keep your anonymity if you can.

I've never said anything of the sort think you have me mixed up with somebody else. I think work like that should at least warrant quite a few season tickets. It was done this way in the days of les duckworth.

I sincerely apologize if I have mixed you up with someone else Flyer

Good point but if people didn't know who others were they wouldn't be able to send pm's threatening them with violence next time they saw them..........

Very true that, never done it myself, but you could still send the PMI's even if you didn't know the person you are sending them too couldn't you??

If anyone did that, you'd be well within your rights to copy their PM on here. In fact, it'd be useful for the rest of us to know which posters felt inclined to do that.

It's probably too late for this Summer now, but after the end of each season, it would be fantastic supporter engagement if the club could announce a list of jobs that need doing at the club.

Some would be admin stuff maybe helping with sending out season ticket reminders, some would be manual labour stuff like cleaning the toilets, and some would be specialist stuff like sorting out the plumbing. But it would benefit the club massively within the fanbase and financially if it could develop some sort of "mates rates" scheme.

Depending on the size of each job, the club could offer match tickets through to season tickets for the work being done. I'm sure there's many on here who would see this as a great way of making sure they could still get along to see Dale in an ever expensive world whilst helping the club out in the process.

Cracking post Col,tbf Dunphy won't be short of plumbers either if needs be and there's a fair few on this forum more than capable of helping myself included and the ticket/season ticket idea is perfect as in reality it costs the club nothing either so it's a win win for everyone.

It also makes good publicity too not just for the club but for the area as a whole which in all honestly could do with all the good press it can get at the minute..

Great idea Col. Something like ' The seats throughout the Stadium need wiping down prior to the start of the new season. We are looking for maybe 20 volunteers to spend a couple of hours at the Club to help us complete this task. Could volunteers please bring their own bucket and sponge'

Having said that, this is the type of thing that the youth players/ Scholars get involved with at other Clubs.

The Club shouldn't be asking volunteers to clean toilets it should be a top priority after every home game ( Monday and Wednesday mornings). They could solve the problems associated with the upkeep of the Stadium by just appointing a odd job person on a part time basis, somebody with a driving licence who could also run the odd errand etc.

And / or perhaps a dedicated page in the programme to recognise people who have helped, advertise businesses that help and to let us know what else needs doing?
