Dodd and Paul Williams did a terrific job overseeing the youth development from 2009 til 2014. To this day - I'm not even sure why they both got the boot? I'm sure others can fill me in on why they were sacked. I honestly have no idea.
At this point, I’d rather Ashley than Gao. But I’d hope we could do better than either of those. It is weird that Kat couldn’t have done better then Gao, who so far has done absolutely nothing but sanction the selling of our best player. If he had instead to show his intensions flown VvD to his mansion in China and personali given him a new £200k a week contract then no doubt the opinions on our anonymous owner would be a bit better.

It's far from weird, he's provided her with enough money to settle her sizeable German inheritance tax bill without having to sell any of her main business assets. I doubt she gave two fuçks who he was, it was probably a needs must.

It's not what people think it is, it's not necessarily bad for us, just means that we'll carry on as we have been in the main (with a few more investments around the world so i assume that money has to come from somewhere)

To give Kat credit, she did attend a lot of games, and surely became ever so slightly attached to the club. So, yes it is odd that she couldn’t find someone more enthusiastic than Gao.
I think the club has been sold to someone out of desperation and very little thought to 'what happens next'. I fail to understand, why someone would spend £200 million and not have any representation on either of the boards. I hate to think the club was bought on the basis of achievements from players and managers, that have long gone. You could say the same management is in place because he has no idea what hes doing, doesnt speak the lingo and has no cultural understanding.
When you look at the saga of Gao's takoever, it really didnt bode well and i was amazed it actually happened. Premier League refusing the deal and then only allowing it on appeal. The fact the whole takeover has been played down on purpose. Even in China there was next to nothing said. In short, it stinks.
