Worst TV Match Ever? 21:38 - Dec 16 with 3788 viewsBoss_Hog

I know the pitch was poor and we have injuries galore, however has there ever been a poorer mens adult game of football shown on live TV?

Yes plenty

We're in the next round. You think Spurs fans were happy with a 2-2 draw at Spotland. It's the cup. We're through. We've got a pay day coming and a chance at progressing. Perspective.

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

Clearly you haven't much watched tv football involving the Dale over the years........................ A win is a win, and in very difficult circumstances- a crucial win for the club- rejoice! Tomorrow's paper will read Boston 1 Rochdale 2

It was a poor game. The pitch was akin to Firgrove and at times the play was much the same.

Yes, we got through and that is deserving of praise, but it was a bloody hard game to watch.

We were far worse in the embarrassing defeat to Fscum united.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OP. Great banter.

Pretty similar to our 0-1 win at Maidstone a couple of years back (Camps free kick in added time)

It's par for the course really, and let's hope Newcastle underestimate us based on that showing

1-1.

I can think of a couple of live games v bury that were pretty rubbish as well.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

For neutrals, yes, but not for us who had to endure a bad performance and loss.

it was a proper cup tie, I secretly hated every minute as a fan of the supposed better team expected to dominate, not used to being the overdog.

Great scenes when they scored, the shot that hit the bar in the build up was a true laces and all strike.

Not the worse TV game ever BUT it papers over some cracks.

3rd round is becoming quite a regular thing now we could not say that in the 80's.

Onwards lets hope the cash injection is spent wisely on player recruitment,

BBC online stated now it's also 8 non league teams we've overcome since the FC Utd defeat,? No mean feat.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

We lost 2-0 to Darlington at home on Sky the season after Wembley, in what was possibly the worst game of football ever played from memory, minus the Jason Kennedy wondergoal.

I've seen loads worse than that. It wasn't great football wise but the pitch wasn't very good. When it's bumpy like that it's not easy to run with the ball.

Could have done with a few Pom Pom girls.

One of the commentators was a bit dull.

Yes the pitch was very slippy and therefore made for an amateur look for both teams.
Yes the ref gave them nearly every decision on the faintest of touches on their players.
What did Pyke do to get his yellow? He was shoved into the fence.
We didn’t win one 50:50 except for Hendo who usually gives them a miss, rightly so, but seemed to give him a dead-leg. Hope he’s ok.
Matheson showed good character when provoked.
Great save by Sanchez at the near post and superb aerial dominance.
But what about our defending from O’Connell for their goal? He was ball watching, not picking up his man. What do they teach defenders? You see the same ball watching in the Premiership.

Yes, the game had enough talking points for enthusiastic Daley’s but perhaps not the neutral.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.

Sat watching the Everton v Arsenal game on BT and it is such a shocker that I thought I needed to bump this thread up. At least we managed to put together a few passing moves on Monday despite the condition of the pitch. Never seen a PL (The Best League In The World apparently) match with so many misplaced passes and clueless attacking!

Poll: Would you prefer relegation to happen…
