Isn't this the same sort of route taken by Koeman and Fonte in the past?
Basically no matter what the club offer, the blood sucking leech agent will recommend a move as its the best money earner for him ... sod the long term situation for the player.
I'd be surprised if anybody would offer more than 15 million, as he'd basically be just a squad member in most teams. |  | | |

If we can’t replace Hoj, we truly are fooked and will deserve relegation. I get the logic of offering Long a one year deal as forwards are expensive and Long has recently been in good form. PEH on the other hand is consistently a 1 in 10 good/standout game player and I don’t remember him ever really having a stand out run of games which we could say he’s bang in form. | |

He definitely believes he is better than he is and being Captain doesn't make him a better player, regardless of what he or his agent may try to suggest.
Win us, he is probably at the correct level for his current ability, or possibly punching slightly.
In order to move up to the next level, his passing needs to vastly improve, his decision making needs addressing, he needs to pass forward more and definitely needs to add goals to his game. He is very frustrating for those reasons and probably gives the ball away the most in our team.
He came with a reputation and Bayern Munich pedigree, but although still young, he now needs to really kick on and show that potential and earn a contract extension.
I would not be held ransom with his contract talks - perhaps make it more performance related and to ensure he comes back from summer, without the usual extra 2 stone.
Ralf will want to keep him, I'm sure.. PEH, Bednarek and Redmond are his favourites* so let's see if the board back the manager.
