I think he was our best manager in my 30 years of watching Saints.
He inherited a shambles when Pochettino left, and made some superb signings. We beat every top team in his two seasons, and we finished 7th and 6th without spending much.
Golden era for us.

Me too, I was deeply upset by his departure and have on record slated him...but as you say he was the finest of managers at that moment in time...and the 3-2 recovery celebration against the scouse parasites was a thing of beauty and one of my greatest memories.

Koeman was my best manager of recent years. He quickly assembled a cracking team after we sold about 6 players, direct style of play that resulted in loads of goals, lambasting Mane when he was late a for a team meeting (rightly so), beating Sunderland 8 1, beating Villa heavily, THAT comeback against Liverpool, the leather coat - Top manager.
