Barca v Bayern 21:30 - Aug 14 with 2039 viewsSalisburySaint

Many criticise the Champions League, but games in one game format has been good and tonight’s game has been brilliant, currently 5-2 Bayern but easily be 9-4, great stuff and certainly benefits from being one off game

the German rags (united) are clinical tonight. Barca are finished for a few years.

Bayern will destroy whoever wins tomorrow night's game, and probably the whole thing, tho I'd love Leipzig to do it, just to shut a few people up.

Still stood in the Kippax

7 - 2 Bayern now.

Think they will be too good for City, but you never know in one off game

Oh well if Barcelona concede 8 with 11 men, our 9 conceded wasn't too bad.

Real kick in the teeth when the player you loan out for two seasons as he’s not good enough for you comes on and scores a brace...

A few players tonight are one in the eye for those who claim player X in the Prem is the "best player in the world"

Bayern's LB is unbelievable

Very true but they were playing Barcelona, so maybe they will be talking about the 8- 2 rather than the the 9 nil. But Barcelona have proved that great sides can a concede lots of goals!

Great game but the funny thing is the best goal was Alaba's own goal. What a goal that was. If only it had been scored at the other end.

PeriÅ¡ić was just as good as he was in the World Cup Finals. What a fantastic player he is. Inter must be mad to loan him to Bayern. As for Barcelona loaning Coutinho to Bayern and letting him play against them, that really was utter madness.

The game reminded me of when Germany humiliated Brazil 7-1 in the 2014 World Cup Semi-Final and that man Müller scored in that game as well. Typical German ruthlessness.

Messi and Louis swanning around not really interested can work against limited opposition but playing a generous 9 against the a Top side like Bayern won't ever work.
I bet 4-1 andd 5-1, right idea, but still a mile out.

City may have a chance if they can defend properly as Bayern offer chances at the other end, but will be a big ask. But you never know, so don't give up all hope yet Blue

Think this one game shootout is brilliant from the 1/4 finals, and should continue.

Yes, he's one of 44 North American players in the Bundesliga, although he was born in an African refugee camp. He is the fastest player ever to play in the league with a top recorded speed of 35.3 kph. At 19, he is certainly one of the best young players in the world if not the best.

With players in their 30s as well, like Lewandowski and PeriÅ¡ić, Bayern have the classic blend of youth and experience, which is what you need to win trophies and their manager's win percentage at the club is 92%!

Koeman and Pochettino both being touted as next Barcelona manager.

Koeman might be better for that one as he seems to have no trouble sorting out big player egos.

I seem to remember that Pochettino as an ex-manager of Espanyol has said he could never manage Barcelona....

Koeman, a Barça legend in his playing days, would be a much more popular choice with their fans.

Pochettino, early in his playing career, and Koeman, late in his, played against each other in the Derbi Barceloní. Pep Guardiola was playing too:

Valid point. What's the betting Quique, Barca manager, doesn't get the chance to turn things around the same way Ralph did though!

Cascarino on Talksport was saying this morning that Nuno of Wolves would be a great fit with the style of football and probably wouldn't be phased by the Bara job

"Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and ex-Everton manager Ronald Koeman have been linked with Barcelona."

This f**ks me off. Keoman was a fleeting glimpse at Everton, why "ex -Everton" and not "ex-Southampton"? F**k Everton, f**k the media.
