Redmond fluffed a chance that Sterling would have scored from. Decent performance though. I'm less disappointed at the end of this game than I was with the 2 dropped points at Arsenal. I think we missed a trick not bringing N’Lundulu on instead of Tella he really hit at them when he came on No disgrace tho and the Viking played very well again
| Manchester City Game Matchday Thread on 17:15 - Dec 19 with 1010 views | kingslandstand1 | All the stats in our favour including pass accuracy against a side like City is excellent. Also attempts, on target etc and possession! Just a shame the stat that counts was to their advantage No disgrace, but may hve to settle for Europa rather than Champions | |

He was. What a player he had turned out to be! I think I would have pushed Theo up when Danny went off and brought on Armstrong or Redmond. Oh well, Fulham next. Bring it on.
| Manchester City Game Matchday Thread on 17:20 - Dec 19 with 980 views | pjt50 | I'll settle for that. It could easily have been 3 or 4 in the end which would have been a bit deflating. A big ask to expect Tella & N'Lundulu to have an impact when we're chasing a game like that. Looking forward to seeing what Diallo can do against Fulham. | |

Maybe he came back too soon. He could well be out for a lot longer this time. Those knee ligament problems can plague you long-term once they start. On the plus side, he's going to be very happy to sign that new contract now. [Post edited 19 Dec 2020 17:27]

I saw him get a couple of killer balls into the box, the only problem was there was no one there to tap them in.

Yeah fair play once he went out wide he touched the ball twice and put in good crosses

We weren't the right team to get that sort of penalty. If it had been one of our players who'd handballed it, of course it would have been given. Those close decisions still usually go the way of the big teams. At one point the ball hit Walker-Peters on the chest, a City player appealed for hand ball and Dean gave City a free-kick. He'd never have given it if a Saints player had been appealing for it. [Post edited 19 Dec 2020 18:26]

The interview's available on Solent Sport's 'The Reaction' programme https://www.bbc.co.uk/programm about 55 mins in. This is becoming a theme now: Bruce, Wilder, Guardiola, ... Good to hear & worth more than views of the so-called pundits. [Post edited 19 Dec 2020 19:15]

| Manchester City Game Matchday Thread on 19:21 - Dec 19 with 753 views | TimSaint | A bit disappointed not to get a draw, but we put on quite a good showing, despite losing Ings and making some questionable changes. Shame we couldn't hit the target when some excellent chances were presented to us, but we laboured a bit at the end and despite trailing, yet again failed to up the urgency stakes and do something different, such as route one, or play it into the box early. All change for the next game then. No Rom and presumably no Ings - hopefully it is nothing serious and he will be ready to outgun his former Scouse team mates. I would also drop Djenepo to the bench. AM KWP, JB, JV, RB SA, JWP, Diallo, NR CA, TW FF, JS, Salisu, Smallbone, Tella, Djenepo, Long, N'Lundulu and ??? | |

| Manchester City Game Matchday Thread on 19:44 - Dec 19 with 722 views | Blue | Thought Saints showed today why they are so high in the league, more than a decent side, with a top manager. I said after *that* match that I hoped he wasn't sacked, and the owners, players, fans and RH are reaping the rewards now, it's grewat to see. Thought the result was just about right, we missed a few gilt-edged chances to wrap the game up, although more than a goal gap would have been harsh on Saints. Not getting the complaints about Dean, he certainly doesn't favour us, I can assure you of that, you only need to a search on bluemoon to find that out. Thought a couple of the bookings were wrong, including de Bruyne's. | |

Look forward to seeing diallo I would give n’lundulu a go up front, it’s Fulham and their defence is poor plus they lost a CB last night

This... And also that near kick in the face that ings got in the area. The other way around ? It would have been a nailed on penalty

| Manchester City Game Matchday Thread on 09:32 - Dec 20 with 542 views | JaySaint | I thought the high boot was much more of a penalty than the handball. That high boot would have been a dead cert of a free kick anywhere else on the pitch, possibly even a yellow. oh well | |

I wouldn't have given either as a penalty, though I wouldn't have complained if they were.
