Not mentioned here, but it was noticeable that Ruben Selles spent almost as much time as Hassenhutl on the touchline yesterday. His (and the other new coaches) influence is surely some of the reason for the change in tactics, starting line ups and now in the last two games, positive results.
I'm sure that some of us can be forgiven for thinking that if the original coaching line up were still in place, you know, the three who sat there keeping quiet and being ignored by Hassenhutl anyway while he came up with whatever bizarre five at the back, last minute substitutions or strange tactics he fancied, we would have maybe only one point today, Che Adams would be goal less and a full blown dressing room rebellion would be under way. | | | |

A fair summary Nick.
Two things occur to me.
Firstly, I do wish we could put in a 90 minute performance. We seem to have one bad half, and one good one in every game.
Secondly what is going on with Adams?
I assumed he wants to leave so Ralph was leaving him on the bench. But yesterday he bought him on. So maybe Ralph was leaving him out and playing midfielders up top, for some other reason. I've no idea.

We weren't bad first half, we were absolutely awful !!
Let's be honest, we created virtually nothing (a good but offside goal aside), had nobody to hold the ball up, couldn't pass properly, couldn't clear our lines, gave it back to Leicester virtually every time we got the ball and presented them with decent chances through sloppy passing and clearances. This was not only reflected in our 30% possession for the first half, but also in the MOTD and Sky highlights.
Going 1 down clearly prompted the changes - thankfully a goal earlier this week - and we played like a different team. Willing runners, getting men forward and creating chances. You could see the confidence in the side after we scored and it definitely looked like we would go on to win it, so no surprise that we did, although that 3rd (and hat trick) would have been the cherry on top of the icing !!
It is great that we are changing things so much earlier now and with the 5 subs rule, we can make changes later as well.
Although pleased that the ref didn't buy into the Vardy theatrics in the first couple of minutes (a definite yellow card), I thought he had a poor game and certainly favoured the home side with many decisions.
Equally having watched the 30 mins Sky highlights this morning, the 2 commentators they had on there were pretty much Leicester fans. The guy unsurprisingly mentioned 9-0 in the first minute and the woman - probably and ex-player - had so much bias with all the iffy decisions that could and should have gone our way, even as she was watching the replays in slow motion. Never mind, we had the last laugh :-) |  |
