I will mourn, my mother who is a Person of colour is mourning.
She has suffered digusting racial abuse mainly in her younger years but even recently too... but she has cried and sobbed about our Queen having grown up looking up to her.
So Mr Sinclair is wrong. Distasteful and downright disrespectfull not only to the Queen but to Millions of people who mourn.

Could you imagine what the reaction would have been, if a white footballer had tweeted something similar when Nelson Mandela died. After all His party the ANC were until recently considered terrorists by the US.

Might be controversial but i don't see that what he said was actually that bad. He simply said a lot of people who aren't white british won't mourn the queen due to her families historical links to colonialism.

The whole concept is flawed . Otherwise we'd blame all Germans today for what their far more recent ancestors did; whereas my experience of working, managing and socialising with them, is that they're generally a very nice bunch. | |
