Not sure what Ralf was thinking of effectively going to a back 5 bringing Lyanco on with over 20 mins to go to defend the lead, it was awful and we were hanging on. Any other team would have really punished us.
Adams was fantastic tonight. Didn't stop running all night and took his goal well.

That'll do. I've long been a critic of Diallo but his little cameo at the end was perfect to see the game out. He was able to keep possession whereas the man he replaced, Adam Armstrong, possibly wouldn't have.
Che Adams was deservedly man of the match. He put in a terrific shift and took his goal well.
Our two match unbeaten run has taken us up to the heady heights of 14th and Bazunu now has the first of what I hope will be many clean sheets. [Post edited 19 Oct 2022 21:38]

Agreed, he ain’t my choice but all of the subs did a good job when they came on. Deserved the points tonight, only downside is we have to put up with the Austrian idiot for a bit longer. See he was out giving it the large one to the fans cos he won rather than stomping off down the tunnel as he normally does. Bring on Arsenal. COYR. |  |

Backs to wall thru 2nd half but we hung on & got the precious 3 points in the bag.
It wasn't pretty to watch but that's not important its points that matter.
Getting out of the bottom three takes some of the pressure off.
We are still carrying too many passengers.
Elynoussi + Adam Armstrong + Aribo + Maitland Niles.
I lost count of the number of balls those players gave the ball away cheaply.
Che Adams was doing the work of 2 men up front, his work rate was phenomenal.
We won't always get away playing so deep but the defence & keeper did well.

I always said I would take an ugly win. I wouldn't say it was ugly but as a spectacle it wasn't much. Not a bad first half and Bournemouth were poor. 2nd half was dull and Bournemouth offered more but nothing special but we sat on that 1-0 and I think another team would have turned it over. A win, a clean sheet, 3 points and Adams scored so in that respect a good outcome.
Che Adams played out of his skin and I thought Maitland-Niles had a good game. Our defence looked solid. Diallo (who I admit I do not rate highly) did the right thing when he came on and made sure we saw the game out. | | | |
