I could spend all day trying to think about this.

Valid claims for all three.

Selles is making a very serious claim for this accolade though.

Poll: Does anybody think Saints can get promoted this season?

Selles is our worst manager.

He is a complete fraud, same as Rasmus.

Even if we didn't pick up another point this season (not impossible the way things are going), Selles would still have a better points per game ratio than Jones (0.5 vs. 0.375).

When Jones took over the situation was nowhere near as bad as the one Selles inherited & we had a much easier run of games. Jones was a disaster.

Poll: Where do you hope to see Salisu start (OK, I know we haven't seen him yet)?

Jones was our catalyst to our relegation drive.

Jones all day long, loosing all league games bar 1 with just simply 1 win in the league outta 8 games (which ironically had to be against Everton away, aka a place we never win at) and 4 wins in the cups outta 6 (although only Palace and City were ones that we should be winning all day long anyway).

As before Jones came in, we were 18th, just a point off of safety, yet only 3 points from 12th! Yet by the time he left we were bottom, 4 points from safety and 10 points from 12th! Yet over those 8 league games he was in charge for, it was only the Liverpool and Brighton games where we weren’t expecting much, with all the rest being against the teams around us where we should be getting results, and were the ones that cost us our survival in the end after we simply won just 1 and lost the rest!
As yeah Selles hasn’t been the greatest, but he still managed to get over double the amount of points Jones did in half the amount of games! And he actually started quite well, with it only being the results from after the international break that really has turned things around and sent us back down to rock bottom. But even then a majority of his games in charge have been against the teams well above us and ones that we weren’t expecting much against, with only like 3/4 of the 9 games being against teams we do expect to get results against.

As Selles hasn’t been that good at all, but compared to Jones he’s been great, as there just really isn’t a comparison as what I’ve stated above are literal opposites. With Selles clearly being the better of the two, and when you compare them to Ralph, well we’d be on like 27 points right now is he’d stayed and contained how he was heading, which would see us with still a chance of staying up. As really how people are even debating this is just baffling!

Poll: Who’s everyone’s player of the season?

We spent £60m in the summer and failed to get a decent striker and another £60m in January apart from loan signings
The dud that is our alleged coach fails to pick most of them and some like Orsic and Aribo (until he was inexplicably picked on Saturday) don’t even get on the bench
We’re going down as it stands but unbelievably we’ve still got a chance of avoiding the drop if we put a string of results together so our only hope is that SR make their one good decision of the season and sack the dud
It pains me to say it but I think we’d have more points if we’d kept Jones

i think jones realised the culture at the club was wrong and tried to do something about it but didnt have the tools to do anything about it,the present waste of space doesnt appear to even be aware of the problems

Selles.
Hassenhutl was way past the sell by date. Jones tried to change things but lacked Premiership experience, media savvy and man management skills ( how to deal with prima donnas).
I don't think Selles has ANY actual playing experience, which is surely an absolute essential for any manager, especially in this league.
At this moment in time I'd rather see Nigel Adkins in there than this clown.

There have been a few managers in the Premier League who have never played the game at a decent level, Mourinho is probably the most prominent, Gerard Houlier another.

Currently Thomas Frank at Brentford never played professionally and he isn't doing too bad, Roy Hodgson never played League football and as we know is back in the premier league, Brendan Rodgers was another who didnt get a game in League football, Steve Cooper at Forest only played in the Welsh league.

Bruno Lage sacked by Wolves earlier this season was another who didn't play professionally.

However some of these played at amateur level, not sure about Selles
