| Mourinho on 16:23 - Jun 2 by 1885_SFC | Yeah, well, English PL refs are the sh1ttest in Europe. Everyone knows that - including UEFA. It's only you that doesn't. |
Yeah as clowns like yourself really do know what makes a good official, sitting there from your armchairs blaming them for any loss you’ve had. As I’m sure you watch many foreign leagues where you see soo many different officials with their different nationalities and qualities all the time… But anyway, for anyone who does, then they’ll know that it’s just the same abroad as it is over here. As yeah they do mess up a fair bit, but just like over here they do also get many decisions correct, but just because manny fans don’t know the basics of the LOTG, will criticise them for it as it’s not what they think should be given, irrelevant of what the LOTG say (which at the end of the day is what match officials must follow). So look 1885SFC I’d keep to arrogant ass ways on another forum, as thankfully on here many do seem to realise that it’s going too far now, and that things need to be done. As any Sunday league tw*ts like yourself that think this is all ok and aren’t bothered about refs as well as their families getting attacked, are some pathetic people are the sorts that this sport wants to remove.

| Mourinho on 12:10 - Jun 2 by saint901 | Absolutely agree that the hounding of refs and officials by players and managers has reached a point where something needs to be done. A few ideas. 1. Any decision which is contested by more than one player from the same team = upgrade an indirect kick to a direct and/or advancing the kick ten metres. 2. If the above happens more than ten times a season to the same team - points deduction. 3. Any discussion between a non player and an official which strays into "abusive" or "provocative" gives the 4th official (or the ref) the ability to remove them from the touchline. 4. Any manager removed from touchline (or coach/sub etc) gets a one game ban 5. Fines to somebody paid millions a year should be means tested, i.e. one weeks "pay" for a first offence, two for second etc. |
Yeah they wouldn’t necessarily be such bad ideas, but unfortunately the footballing authorises need to do something about it all first before any of this can happen. As trust me, 99% of refs at all levels wanna do something about this abuse, but for almost every level there’s always an issue/something preventing them from doing so, which is exactly why it continues to happen

Heard worse from Sunday leaguers like yourself than that, but still I’d rather be a bellend than someone that thinks a refs family getting attacked is ok and “deserved”, as that just says everything about a guy, and any family you might have certainly deserves a lot better than an embarrassment like yourself. As I can just imagine you being that sorta guy to get right ip in the face of that young 14 year old ref over that U8’s game, which is exactly the sorta people this games gotta get rid of once and for all

| Mourinho on 15:10 - Jun 2 by City_boy | I agree with comments Nick, but Saints haven't exactly been squeaky clean with players going down injured on the hour mark, to allow players to get drinks (probably energy drinks) and get instruction from manager. On separate note, I played vets football (over 35's) for a number of years and it was noticeable how much more sporting and enjoyable it was to play. It was still competitive, but without the fights, arguing and cheating. Perhaps they had just got it out of their system ? [Post edited 2 Jun 2023 15:10]

Yeh well it’s because Vets get on with the game, as back when many of them were younger thee wasn’t all the nonsense you see in todays game. And many (although unfortunately not all) don’t say too much back to refs as they’re old enough to know that your not always gonna get your way and that it’s best to just get on with it. As the vets league is about being competitive, but also just having a bit of fun, which is what footballs all about! As yeah it can be competitive at times, but all the players know their playing days are behind them, so are doing it for the social side and to just enjoy football, which is why they care a lot less about the results so are less desperate to time waste and do all the other things we all hate. As I’ve even seen vets finals that I’ve had mates/colleagues officiating before, where that sudden death pens been scored and rather than rushing over to the keeps, the winners have gone and shook the hands of the opposites first, ones where even when the ref did mess up they just got on with it. As that’s how the game should be, and how many treat it like in games where it doesn’t matter. But unfortunately it’s almost like a completely different sport when you hit the regular teams in Wessex or southern leagues, and leagues below that. But there’s a reason why vets is the first level most refs officiate at when starting to officiate adult games

| Mourinho on 09:44 - Jun 2 by 1885_SFC | That's what happens when you allow English PL refs to manage a football game. Serves UEFA right. |
Did you watch the game? What did he get wrong?, should have got MOM ahead of any of those 22 cheats on the pitch. As for Jose, give him money and the best players he'll win you something, give him rubbish like Spurs and Roma, then forget it he won't, his race was pretty much run 7 years back. Embarrassment now, needs to be banned
| Mourinho on 11:14 - Jun 4 with 742 views | sledger | players going down pretending to be injured is easily sorted,as in rugby treat them while game goes on,soon sort the fakers out as they would put there team down to 10 for no reason, probably 9 out of 10 injuries are fake and thats being generous | | | | Login to get fewer ads

My sons 10 and plays for 2 teams and I can already see some little sh!ts acting up, they watch boggle eyed Fernandes and the rest and think it’s cool, if they were my kid I’d tell them they’re not playing until they stop being a d!ck

Yeah mate but unfortunately they can’t, as footballs more of a business these days than a sport, meaning that if the top refs wanna be able to keep their jobs and roles, then they’ve gotta abide by what the people with the money want. So even though many refs wanna be able to caution players for surrounding them or send off idiots like Mourinho for much less than his usual pathetic tantrums, they simply can’t if they wanna keep their jobs. As if loads of people start getting sent off, then all the midis will start complaining and football will loose money, which these days is unfortunately more important than keeping the game respectful and how it should be. But yeah what you’re saying about the young kids is soo true, recently I’ve been helping to manage refs at youth/adult tournaments, and have seen it all there. As even today I saw loads of players of some pretty young ages, doing loads of simulation, winding up and abusing opponents before the game even commenced, simulation, dissent etc… and this is for age groups where you’ve gotta have the opposing player go back to the halfway line for goal kicks! But parents don’t help the situation either as a young ref (aged something like 14/15) getting stick from parents to a U11’s game and had to go over and shout to the parents that if they didn’t stop they’d find themselves stuck out in the parking area waiting for their kids to finish etc… As like many have said, this can all be prevented, but simply due to money, the footballing bodies decide not to
