It does amaze me that Swansea let Whittaker go to Plymouth for £1 million.
Although it wasn't until after Brighton Buddha had left Swansea, it looks like Swansea had him out on loan to other clubs (Lincoln and Plymouth) for most of his time at Swansea.
So either Brighton Buddha didn't rate him, or he deemed Whittaker wasn't suited to his style of play.
From what I have seen of him, he looks excellent.
