I’m surprised at Ipswich. He’s what, 27/28? And he’s had one season in his career like this last one. I guess worth a flyer for 6 mil if you’re in the prem, but i don’t think he’ll do much. |

Season stats for Dykes at QPR I think are:
SeasonEnd - Goals/Assists
2021 - 12/5
2022 - 9/3
2023 - 8/3
2024 - 7/1
Of the seven last season only 6 in the Champ. Which came against Swansea, Stoke 2, Watford, Preston and Leeds.
As we can see Dykes return on Goals and Assists is going down every season. And he is 28, turning 29 in October so, really we need to sell him now. For that money we should bite their hands off as we shall never get another chance to cash in.

Did anybody read down further in the article it said Armstrong has some PL interest and we could be forced to sell him.
Who is scouting him for the PL and why would they buy him are we all missing something he is barely Championship lever right now.Maybe a long term project ?
As for Dykes he could be a different player under Marti but if we need cash then so be it let him off |  | | |

If we receive a serious offer for Dykes north of £1m, I’d sell and reinvest. He’s been here 4 seasons now. He’s played a lot of games. He’s 28. We know what we’re getting and it’s not a forward to propel you into the play offs. We have to twist. This is the summer to sell him. Personally, I think a fully fit Frey will be ahead of him in the pecking order anyway.
We desperately need another forward either way.
Armstrong is a tricky one. He has one year left and will likely do a Willock and walk for free to the highest paying club he can find. If the club doubt they can get him to sign an extension, you sell him now and reinvest that too in another forward. |  | | |

1 - Sinclair's agent has never been backwards in coming forwards. He was getting linked with Liverpool and Celtic before he came here in the first place.
2 - Two of Armstrong's better performances last year were both against Ipswich, gave their defenders a really hard time. That might have been nicely timed for him. |  | | |

Frey is looking fit in the training videos, for what that's worth.
Will be interesting to see how Kolli comes along this season.
Not sure if Armstrong will be here by the end of August, but he's an option - with some clears positives and negatives true.
Its been a few weeks now but we need to remember that two huge issues we had last season were being well below par in goal, and well below par up front. We've sorted half of that, and getting any kind of decent money for Dykes would greatly help sorting the other part. I'd agree if it's sell Dykes and not replace him then no, but it won't be. |  | | |

True. At the moment Blackburn have had to get a bridging loan to pay their suppliers. Where they are going to get £1.7m from is any ones guess. |  | | |

I suspect not too many will agree with me but if both Arnstrong and Dykes go, it will be Dykes we miss the most.
We have been waiting for Armstrong to make the step up for 2 years now. Judging by the pre season friendly highlights he still has all the poise of a 4 year old one sugar high in front of goal. All the pace and power you could want, but not a footballing brain.
If we can get money for either, I wouldn't turn it down though. |  |
