How many players actually go onto better things after leaving us?

In the last decade all of the following have played in the Premier League after leaving us: - Charlie Austin - Eberechi Eze - Luke Freeman - Joe Lumley - Ryan Manning Asmir Begovic and Alex Smithies were with Premier League clubs after us but didn't play in the PL. And then there's Harvey Elliott and Raheem Sterling (bit more than a decade ago in Raheem's case) who were with us as youth players but got pinched before they could turn out for us. Is that enough to be going on with!? [Post edited 31 Dec 0:14]

Alex McCarthy left us in 2015, so just over a decade ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Have you ever considered reining it in? You are a blight on this message board.
| Angelo Balanta on 03:13 - Dec 31 with 538 views | queensparker | It is a good point though - they are hardly any ex QPR players doing well or holding down a decent career Eze doing well. That’s about it A few exes knocking around the same level (Manning, BOS, Dykes, Armstrong, Robinson, Lowe) It’s a metric that needs work [Post edited 31 Dec 3:15]

You missed out Rob Dickie from that list at the same level. And is captain at Bristol City who are consistently in the top ten. Him and Dunne together were treated poorly by the fans back then and I could understand why he was keen to leave. But you could realistically look at the fact, they played together under Ainsworth. In hindsight, it would have been better for us to keep him. He was aware he was leaving when he put in an absolutely immense display in a Burnley away win, who were in the top two, which was the difference between us being relegated or not. At one stage with a couple of 25 yard hits to boot, we all thought he could be a premier league player. His lack of pace has probably been the reason why he never got that chance.
