A Southampton game is usually the place to go if you want mistakes and goals

Lot's on T/Sport this morning about that with differing views. Yes it was probably wrong what he did and he realised that afterwards with the apology, but as they were saying on the radio, if there wasn't so much feigning injuries and cheating in the game now with all this rolling about as if they'd just been shot maybe he wouldn't have resorted to that type of action noting the timing and Martanelli wanting to get on with the game

Bradley was injured on the touchline, half off the pitch, and got himself back onto it so that he could hold the game up. At the time, it just looked like more time-wasting. Most incidents like that are. Fair play to the Liverpool manager: "Liverpool manager Arne Slot defended Martinelli after the match, suggesting the wider issue of time-wasting in football may have led to the flashpoint. "I don't know Gabriel Martinelli, but he comes across as a nice guy," said Slot. "I think the problem for him - and it's a problem in general in football - is that there is so much time-wasting and players pretending that they are injured in the final parts of the game and during the game, that you can sometimes be annoyed if you want to try to score a goal that you think the player is time-wasting." He was over the touchline. I've changed it to half off the pitch. Happy now? This is just a messageboard, not the world news, you shouldn't take it too seriously. You'll end up having a heart attack, the way you get wound up over nothing. Why are you so concerned about Bradley anyway? [Post edited 9 Jan 14:13]

Where have i said i was concerned . I dont like to see players badly injured and i dont like the way the Arsenal goon threw the ball at him and then tried to drag him off the pitch . To me that was totally out of order.

The throwing the ball part I agree with you, but I can understand the dragging part. Bradley suffered from 'boy who cried wolf' syndrome. 9 times out of 10 when players go down supposedly injured like that nowadays, they're play acting, either to waste time or to try and get an opponent a yellow or red card. We also nowadays have this regular break at around 70 minutes when the goalkeeper goes down pretending to be injured so that the rest of the team can go over to the touchline to have their energy drinks and get instructions from the manager. It's as if dishonesty and cheating have become accepted parts of the game. [Post edited 9 Jan 14:38]

I absolutely agree that the play acting and diving is now in the game like never before . Its what i dont like about the game theses days . I for one detest the premier league and what it has become . Its been taken away from proper supporters and given to the prawn sarnie brigade . Overpaid prima donnas who are so out of touch with the real world .

I have some sympathy with that view. However a few weeks ago I paid the penalty for not checking the fixture list before getting on a District Line tube, At Fulham Broadway I was joined by 4,000 Chelsea Boys post match...I can guarantee that mob of Neanderthals had not been eating prawn sandwiches.

'I can understand the dragging part' I dont, without knowing the type of injury you could do serious injury by moving him. Bradley went home on crutches..
