Working miracles at Rangers, after the absolute car crash of Russel M.

Only 4 points of the top now and great chance to win it. Can't help but have my fingers crossed for the guy. Not least because it makes Martin look like such a chump.

And I've always liked the theory that it is all started to go wrong for Saints when Rohl left.

I see Leicester have sacked their manager this afternoon - a side just above us and like us, also failing miserably in this division this season.

As for Rohl ; he was always my pick for the manager's job when we were looking at him. Alas, the boardroom clowns at the top thought otherwise.

Missed out on Rohl and Carrick.
Look what Carrick has done for United.

I thought it was only me that thought it all started to go wrong when Danny Rohl left.

Hassenhutl had next to zero man management skills and if anyone thinks he was still a footballing masterclass, let's not forget the two 9-0 thrashings he hung round our necks for eternity. It was even a question on 'Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?' not so long ago - 'who is the only Premier League football club to suffer two 9-0 defeats in the same season?'
And the lady contestant knew the answer.

Yes, and also thanks to those who paid for season tickets and match tickets with their hard earned cash

I'm guessing it wasn't the million pound question?!

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

This is too much information but it is a true story..

I had a colonoscopy a few days after the Leicester 9-0. The poor unfortunate bloke doing it asked me if I supported a football team. I said no, I support the Saints.

Looking down at me with the co-axial cable in his hand he grinned and said "bloody hell mate, this really isn't your week is it ?"

When he left in November 2022 Saints were in the bottom three with 12 points from 14 games.

He didn't, but neither did he leave us in a great position.

And didn't he give Djneppo a contract extension? One of the most useless players I have ever seen.

At the risk of sounding pedantic, the two 9-0s weren’t in the same season

Poll: Where do you hope to see Salisu start (OK, I know we haven't seen him yet)?

I agree, he kept us in mid table when he had absolutely no funding due to Gao not being able to get money out of China.

Had he been given a striker at the start of the season then we would have stayed up

We were an established premiership club at the time, so could have hoped for a bit better. The moment SR came in Ralph was a dead man. All Ralph wanted was a decent forward and he got given Mara ffs. SR are completely to blame for spending loads on utter crap youngsters that were never good enough for the prem. In fact most were not good enough for the championship.

Every time you mention Gao you add the excuse about Chinese exchange controls.

Was he not able to secure funds elsewhere? Could he not have tried to sell up as soon as he knew that his business plan was f*cked.

It's odd that you are so keen to excuse him. The sale to him was a disaster. It's when everything started to go very wrong.

I don't feel the need to sympathise with the restraints behind his terrible ownership.

Also can't forget that he got us sponsored by some made up company.
