Years ago everything seemed to work when it came to protecting, serving and assisting the general public in a far better way.

"That was then this is now" with Ambulances nowadays often taking 24 hours to turn up, police ignoring obvious serious crimes, two-tier policing, abandonment of border control..... and headlines like the one in yesterdays South Wales Evening Post i.e. "Chaotic scenes in A&E with patients 'stripped of dignity'" says it all.

That's all you hear nowadays is "This county has gone to the dogs". Is it any wonder. And whatever happened to that thing called "good old fashioned common sense" that used to be rife a few decades back?

Crazy of what is labelled 'the left' nowadays when compared to decades back.

I used to spend time in 'Swansea East' decades back around the time when the late Bonymaen Labour councilor David Watkins was alive. He tragically passed away suddenly in his early fifties during the late nineties.

And I can tell you now that David Watkins (known for his extremely dry wit and sarcasm) would be at his withering best if with what is happening nowadays was happening then, because the WOKE-infested Labour Party of present (rife with snobbery that despises the working class) along with the Greens are off the scale idiots. Not an ounce of common sense between em!

Heroin legalisation, now that would go well in working class communities. What lunatics!

Working class communities are infested with heroin now. Legalisation will make no difference to supply. What it will do is remove the criminal element and reduce the amount of acquisitive crime involved in addiction.

Time and time again over decades the folly of prohibition has been demonstrated. It's the one policy the Greens have which actually makes a bit of sense.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Increased drug use...public health concerns...societal costs...Impaired public safety and many doing what they would never done before...Lets go for it.

The parents and the grandparents of the younger generation will be highly delighted with the prospect of it, along with NHS paramedics doing repeat call outs for O'D's whilst granny lies 18 hours on the floor with a broken hip.

Evidence from Portugal suggests precisely the opposite will happen.

I really don't understand why people refuse to learn from history when it comes to Prohibition. Hundreds of Billions of pounds/dollars/whatever have been spent fighting "The War on Drugs" for decades and it's no closer to being won because it completely ignores human nature. Like Socialism the idea may be good, but it's unworkable in practice.

Get drugs off the streets? They can't even keep them out of prisons. Time to accept that we've failed and try something else. Something that would put a spanner in the financial works of the organisations supplying it. Something that might stop junkies endlessly thieving from their families and neighbours.

Widespread distribution along with easier supply of addictive drugs is an absolute joke!

That is why NHS doctors stopped handing out amphetamine Biphetamine diet pills (Black Beauties) to British housewives like smarties for weight loss.

And then there’s the bane of many a NHS employee (my sister had this during training) when it was Magic Mushroom season, when easily accessible hallucinogens bloomed, up went the trouble along with an increased workload.

When out of season? Back to normal! The lesser drugs available the better?

Lisbon is a place I’ve been to several times
Nice enough but in no way drug problem free
Just what messages are we sending our orbits
That feckn heroin cut what whatever is now ok and
Ok it would seem as the State allows it
Moreover , what about the supply of it
Do we import it to a Felixstowe container for collection and distribution
And by who is it distributed
And where ? Do we have pharmacies handing out snack and crack to addicts queueing along with those needing cancer follow up drugs
It’s feck n grotesque and it shows where we are that people think it s a good idea

We can’t handle burglaries, drink drivers, drug drivers , so do we legalise them
It’s the same principle

We need to discourage people from taking dope and making it legal is not the way

The Greens are clearly dangerous

I live and have lived in Bonymaen for decades and yes it has its problems with drugs and the the purchase and selling of the stuff , not quite yet openly but getting there , even my mum would have a good guess as to who was doing what and when in short time, but the police and not interested ,not a copper in sight . If anyones intersted take a look at this channel .its not all bad .

There was a doctor working at Ty Felin sugery whom had (since retired over a decade ago) enough of staff members being abused by druggies in receipt of legally supplied benzodiazepines, so much so that this very doctor taped a big piece of paper to his consultation room door stating that he was not a supplier of stuff like (street name) “green eggs’.

I knew a person who personally witnessed a ranting druggie abusing staff, because he wanted additional supply that was beyond what was medically acceptable and allowed, because the guy had run out of what he was previously supplied with.

The reason why? Druggies are of type to want the next high to be even greater than the last one and want to get as much ‘out-of-it’ as possible. So a prescription gets abused and used up days/weeks before the next repeat hand over is due.

Sustenance/maintenance dosages to stop withdrawal symptoms and to carry on sensible medicinal effects are NOT good enough for many. And that is why NHS staff have to deal with nightmare anti-socials.

Aye, lets have more crack cocaine, heroin, skunk, LSD, etc

Another agenda driven article from the Daily Express.

The Child Abduction Warning Notices are intended to be safeguarding tools and can be issued in a numerous different scenarios, but they cannot be issued where there is evidence of a criminal offence, if there is an offence it would require investigation.

The College of Policing document is the guidance circulated to Forces in England and Wales, the West Yorkshire hyperlink is the guidance and procedure to its operational officers.

Gorton by election voters , and their families in the voting booths have got their way .

Put your X here and vote for a Party more madder than The Monster Raving Loony Party with Lord Sutch at the steering wheel .

It was comical at the time for him standing but now the dynamics in voting patterns is taking a more sinister pattern , only a 48 % turn out , so people fed up or tactical votes cast .

Can this fraud really be a Leader , beaten by a nobody on a crusade of Green .

Starmer it seems has ignored the mess Blair made invading areas out of our control and the RAF base in Cyprus is now under threat .

Where does he turn to next , internal chaos in the UK , all self inflicted by his inability to stop a few rubber boats crossing The Channel and U turns every day .

Incoming nukes or Government meltdown , Starmer you really have your hands tied now .

I think one thing people often forget is that Labour supporters (the working class for want of a better word) for the most part of their history were not that left wing really, they were amongst the most patriotic people in the country. They went to fight for king and country. Yes they wanted better working conditions and fairer pay but apart from that they were more traditionally conservative (small c) in every other measure. Clem Atlee would probably be considered by many to be pretty far right these days.

Of course they’ve always had the hard left/communist mental cases tagging along as an undercurrent and it’s only relatively recently they have come to the fore, probably as a reaction to Blair’s failed New Labour project.

I’m afraid this argument holds water only if those buying it in a legalised market are those that use it illegally. However, legalising it would bring so many other people into using it that it would be damaging not only in a cost way but also in everyday behaviour of people. These drugs are extremely harmful and it could be said that legalising it would be aiding and abetting people’s health opening up a whole load of law suits later on.

It’s a definite no from me. Starting with cannabis.

Indeed cannabis, heroin, crack, LSD etc aside.......

Drugs like (harmless Amazon U.K Nootropics no more!) Adderall will then become the 'academic' study drug of choice in exactly the same way that bygone weight loss amphetamines became the (term once used) "housewives" drug. Those drugs were stopped from being prescribed and handed out like Smarties for a darn good reason.

And those addicted to drugs will then become unemployable adding even more to the claimant count, where 'addiction' is a (bad enough as it is already) lifestyle choice epidemic. And I guess those drugs will become free for all those on income support. What an extra carrot to wave to people when a stick is nowhere to be seen?

Seen it myself, the less drugs circulating the better I had a late friend who was legally prescribed Nitrazepam that he ended up abusing...Employable, rational and functional no more! And heroin and crack? Oh dear!

I will add further to say that the Swansea G.P that retired i.e. the one that stuck a piece of paper outside his door saying that he did not dish out drugs to druggies.

Well he expressed obvious future concern for local G.P recruitment. He said that higher morbidity levels have an influence on whether young doctors will relocate or work in certain geographical area's.

Meaning that area's rife with 'bad lifestyle' choices and depravation are far less attractive when it comes to recruiting doctors. That saying "anything for a quiet life".

Where would a doctor prefer to work, is it to be amongst a nicer middle class community with a lesser drug problem or is it to be Penrhys Estate Merthyr with a notorious drug reputation that would be made vastly worse by drug legalisation. Nothing up's morbidity levels better than drugs hey?

The implication (indeed an intelligent and valid point) that crime will be down will be countered-negatively on so many fronts if drugs were legalised and made easily accessible.

Less of this story we need and not more.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wal

Now the guy involved in this story? I think the less drugs in his system, the better it would have been for everyone concerned.

Now he was 'drug-induced-mobile' cropping up here, there and everywhere and the last time I heard about him involved yet more of unsavory behaviour, this time in Swansea SA1.

The other guy that I previously mentioned i.e. the one that was abusing NHS staff? Well he made South Wales Evening Post for an horrific baseball bat attack on English tourists down the Gower, and later ended up with life imprisonment for another different matter. The link between the two anti-socials? Both druggies, surprise, surprise!

Less drugs and of course less lunacy involving other matters i.e. rape gangs walking free by being given two-tier carte blanche preference, and to think former soldiers had the total opposite treatment and have become victims of the likes Kier Starmer, Lloyd Hermer and Phil Shiner acting like Witchfinder Generals. The crime? Serving their country! Talk about obscene justice!

The U.K has become one sick basket case.

My late Father on me joining British Steel , he was there already and a voice in the right direction allowed acceptance for my application , I was lucky to get a job and career then .

Join a Union TGWU asap they will look after you forever , later things and a longer story I went through would prove that promise to be a fib .

Thatcher and her policies closed industry in South Wales down thereafter , and I was made redundant and had to move on .

Now The Labour Party is more concerned at looking after the challenged and needy folk in our desperate and out of contol benefits system .

Sure the Mobility cars and top of the range mobile phones everyone shows off and talks nonsense into whilst walking about under their hoodies , somebody has to pay their bills .

Exactly.

Many of the policies put forward by the likes of Reform and Restore that are slammed as Fascist by the purple haired loons now were pretty standard and accepted societal norms for decades.

I do disagree that New Labour "failed" though. Given that most of the major problems society faces today have their roots in what Blair did starting in 1997 and he, his family and those of a similar mindset massively enriched themselves and still basically control things today I'd suggest that it succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
