Whilst applauding the loyalty to Tonda I can’t help feeling this is going to run and run. Tonda if he isn’t banned will face enormous pressure. I really couldn’t see a situation where he could continue at Saints. |  |

Dare i ask, what demographic were polled and how many responded? From what i have seen you would be lucky if a thousand actually partook.....
Hardly a ringing endorsement imho
To be honest, i have no foot in either camp but this debacle has reaffirmed my views that we really are rudderless at the top end of the Management system. [Post edited 2 Jun 7:05]

It looks to me, I fear as though Solak is saying what he thinks we want to hear, knowing that Eckert is likely to receive an FA ban.
Without him we would have ended up in League one by now.

The two polls they have had on Saints Web have both had a few hundred people voting, and in both polls there is a fairly significant majority in favour of keeping him.
Their demographic is probably fairly similar to this message board, maybe a bit younger, but mainly pretty keen fans, I'd say. | |

Personally, I liked what he said and tbh it has changed my opinion of him.
He seem extremely level headed about it all and has got the sense of what was going on with the spying and the measure of the EFL punishment absolutely spot on.
The measure of wanting everyone to pull together, effectively say 'f*ck you' to the league, and go again might help to keep players at the Club.
And he point about double jeopardy is a good one. 'Haven't you punished us enough' etc.
And it looks like he's made his decision and if the FA want to ban Tonda for a period, then Solak will cross that bridge. |  |

Don't be such a p*ssy. Pressure from who? The media have already got bored of this story and have other fish to fry. The opposition fans will know we've already had a devastating punishment so their blood lust has been satisfied. Of course we'll get chants of ' cheats' etc but our support will counter that with their own replies. We'll get some stick but that should spur us on, and scoring always shuts the up. | |

So once again Dragan says mistakes have been made, it’s very season bar one hes said that .
The sooner Sport Republic sell up the better as far as I’m concerned.
In 5 years hes taken us down twice , been the 2nd worse top flight club and got us kicked out the playoffs. And now in out 2nd consecutive season in the 2nd division all while spending millions doing so.
Rupert Lowe got far more stick and can argue no where near as bad as Dragan and co . | |
