Yep agree with this. Boro have recruited very well they’ll be right up there and so will we. Our players seem to be right up for it. Flynn Downes has already come out and said we’re going to win it which pleased me and we have a great manager. |  |

I find it staggering that we are potentially going to try to wing it with loan players in such key positions, when the League is stronger than last season.
When I originally made my prediction of us finishing 2nd, I had assumed that if we lost Ross Stewart and Shea Charles, they would be replaced with experience.

Good loan players are worth their weight in gold if you get the right ones, in 2023/24 we winged it with Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Ryan Fraser & Flynn Downes, not to mention David Brookes & Joe Rothwell.
Ross Stewart only played in 25 League games last season and only blossomed after Xmas, the question is whether a very good youngster who will make it in the Premier League is better than an experienced player who isn't going to get above Championship level, would we have taken up the option for Ross Stewart if we had been promoted, I don't think we would have.

West Ham haven't played in the Championship for quite a while, they might be more skilled, but not used to the physicality. Also every team will be busting to get a WH scalp, so they may not get the early good start they wish for. | |

Ross didn't only blossom after Xmas. He played well before Xmas too, and so did the whole team when he was playing. The first game he started, he came into the side when we were on a bad run, but he helped us get a draw against league leaders Boro, which was a good result. Then the next game, away at Sheff U, he got both goals as we got our first away win and our first win of any kind since the opening day. Then he starts what would have been his 3rd full match in a week, away at Derby and we're 1-0 up and looking good when he pulls his hamstring. Sadly there was nobody to rotate him with before Xmas because none of the others could play centre forward, which was a major error by our recruitment team.
He's a class player and made us look better whenever he played, both before Xmas and after. Sadly he was overplayed before Cyle arrived because he made the others look so poor in comparison. It will be tough for a youngster to step into his boots. Divin Mubama says himself that he has a lot to learn. The stuff he'll be learning is stuff that Ross already knows. | | | |

Wrexham and Millwall to drop off from last season. Parkinson sacked at some stage, likely before Xmas.
Surprise package - Bristol City.
Saints......hmmm.....not so sure. TE would have got around 92-95 points last season if he had been here 46 games. I think he will do worse and with minus 4 start i think he will see us to around 78-82 Points, so play off spot for us, but we will not go up, unless we make some good signings in August and January. |  | | |

West Ham to win it at a canter. Bowen will score a hatful at Championship level.
Wolves to finish second. Armstrong ( although not a Premier League player ) is a proven scorer at Championship level.
Third place ? Saints to be in the top eight (even with a four point penalty) and to take part in the now frankly ridiculous playoffs. | |

My friend and neighbour is a Hammer’s fan and he doesn’t share the confidence that their team will win the league at a canter.
Teams will raise their game against them, particularly in that stadium where the atmosphere is flat.
