He has been a member of the U21 squad for a while now and is moving forward with his career, the glimpses i have seen in his 2 EFL cup matches and brief cameo in the Premier League showed that he seemed to have a lot more confidence that he had last season.
He seems to have been around for ages yet is still only 20, however he will turn 21 in January and he needs to start to play regular first team football and get experience

Man City and Chelsea buy up all the best 14/15 year olds for £1 mill (e.g Max Alleyne from Saints). Then give them a couple token appearances in the first team, before selling them for 15/20 mill. Saints developed Max Alleyne for 8 years before having him poached. Makes you think whats the point. |  |

Man City and Chelsea buy up all the best 14/15 year olds for £1 mill (e.g Max Alleyne from Saints). Then give them a couple token appearances in the first team, before selling them for 15/20 mill. Saints developed Max Alleyne for 8 years before having him poached. Makes you think whats the point. |
This is the sort of thing that really brings the game into disrepute. The general public don't think any the less of football in this country because someone watched a training session, but the way the big clubs hoover up all the best young players and the trophies with their sports-washing billions from the Middle East really does tarnish its image.

Proofs in the pudding. No assists or goals since he joined Everton and has 26mins of prem football this season. Maybe this is his launch pad , but from the outside it couldnt have gone much worse. | |

Mubama is very good when playing against players in his age group. He has scored 5 goals in 7 games for England U21s.
The U21 teams of even top clubs like Man City get beaten by teams from the lower leagues in the EFL Trophy.
They are youngsters who haven't reached their peak yet. There are exceptions, like Lamine Yamal, but most players need more time to develop. | |

The problem is the opposite. The general public couldn't give a tiny 2 s**ts about this. Even the ones who follow football, they either don't know, don't care or follow the big clubs who are the ones that benefit.
I agree that it's disgusting but probably only 1% of the public would say so without the issue being explained to them. If you just asked them what they thought were the big problems in football, very few would mention it. | | | |

Didnt Brentford scrap their academy a few years ago as they were sick of bringing players through only for Chelsea to then come and sweep in when they were 15/16 and take them for nothing.
I'm amazed Saints still do so well with getting academy players coming through with Chelsea being all of the City's schools especially junior schools. | | | |

He got an assist last week for Alcarez (another woefully under used ex Saints player at Everton). He should have had another but KDH missed an absolute sitter from a brilliant Dibling cross. | | | |
