There is something about the England squad at the moment that makes me optimistic.
Against Spain(World Champions) we gifted them two goals but could have gone 3-1 up if Kane had not slipped when taking his penalty.
I know we lost but there were more positives than negatives in that game for us. |  | | |

This is England doing what they have done consistently since 1966. Raise everyone hopes by beating the teams like the Czech’s. Play no hopers in the qualifiers for the World Cup and Euros, only to fall flat on their arses against top flight teams when it really matters.
As for Harry Kane. He’s never won a major trophy and isn’t likely to anytime soon. It would be better for the England set up if he were to retire and let some of the other players have a crack. After all he will be approaching 35 years old by the time of the next Euros [Post edited 30 Sep 10:31]

Harry Kane has won the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich last season. Pretty sure that counts as a major trophy.

Kane is head and shoulders ahead of any other centre forward that England currently have. Who else is there? Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney have now gone to semi retirement in the middle East, Rashford is more of a wide player. I genuinely cant think of anyone who has been in the squad or who plays regularly in the league, Solanke, DCL? Nowhere near as good as Kane. | | | |
