A relatively local game for me.
45 minute Bus Whankery Leigh to Wigan, a quick dash to get a Galloways Pastie, then 13 min train Wigan to Preston.
Planning to arrive about 1030.
Beers in a couple fine Real Ale Bars/Pubs . Hopefully witness a comfortable 3 or 4 gaol win, then back to the pubs for a few more beers.  |  | | |

I am going from East Yorkshire, so not a bad trip for me. I have always enjoyed a Preston trip. I find their fans are decent. I remember walking back last year and there were alot of compliments from Preston fans about how good we were when their youngsters walked around at the end and to the female football team who picked up some reward.
I think though, the Preston fans are planning some protest before the game. We just need to make sure we are not complacent and take the game for granted. We need the 3 points and preferably a clean sheet. Goal difference may be the difference at the end of the season. | | | |

Most trains on longer journeys you get reserved seats, unfortunately not on South

Thank you. I am guessing though that on a busy Saturday, football fans might be sat in your reserved seat, and / or you have people all.around you stood in the aisles? I usually get coach or drive, guaranteed a seat that way, but obviously can't drink.if driving on the day but, I am not always the driver. And don't want to stand all the way to Cardiff or Bristol either. [Post edited 6 Nov 16:04]
