They don't have any money. Maintaining their dilapidated ground is just about as much as they can afford. They certainly wouldn't have enough to pay off the remainder of Jackett's contract, let alone pay a new manager. I guess they could try to persuade him to leave without any payment due, like they did with their players the last time they went into administration. [Post edited 9 Mar 2021 22:29]

Funnily enough I wondered whether there had been less managers sacked due to the lack of money to pay them off, but so far this season 35 managers have lost their jobs, some haven't been sacked, latest Darren Moore left Doncaster to go to Sheff Weds.
Coincidentally this is the same number as at this time last year, back then the 36 departure didn't happen till the end of the season obviously due to the suspension of football , so there will be more this season I suspect | |
