Barnsley for me.

It’s a better away end to go in; I think Wednesday used to be a bit of bogey side for us back in the day as well…..

Pleased for Sheff Wed. Big club. The Championship will be a cracking league next season with some massive clubs and big grounds with some decent atmospheres - Sheff Wed, Leeds, Leicester, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Coventry, West Brom and obviously us.

Exactly Southamptonfan. I know so much depends on what our owners and management does and who stays and who goes but there are some tasty fixtures to look forward to and with opposition with core traditional fans. I am almost looking forward to it.

Me too. Relegation was disappointing and I have my doubts about our ownership and the new manager but it's almost a relief to me to be out of a league that has just brought misery over the last few years. Next season we are in with a good chance of actually winning the league or finishing in the top 3. The top 8 and you still have a chance of a Wembley final. New grounds to visit, no VAR, less play acting, no idiot away fans sitting in the home sections, as you say proper, traditional fans instead of the tourists and the plastics. I just hope Saints can give us some enjoyable performances and some success next year.

From a Saints perspective it would have been better to have Barnsley up, both from the fact that I think Wednesday will be a stronger team than them and also they would have been a club that would have been between Pompey & promotion

My thoughts exactly. Also, as a bonus, perhaps we could have got Darren Moore as manager.

Just checked saints are 10/1 to win league and 3/1 for promotion.

Lower mid-table would be my prediction.

We may have more chance the year after; it is going to take a while to recover from losing our best players and we are going to be conceding a lot of goals with this manager.

The only teams that you mentioned that are massive are sheff Wednesday , Leeds and Sunderland. The rest including us are all similar medium sized clubs . By massive I’m talking about fan base here and size of ground not trophies . The trouble with the championship is there are too many teams who are just very similar and if you look at the table there’s nothing in it .

I mean not necessarily "massive", although there are a few as mentioned and Leicester may not be massive but they are recent PL and FA cup winners, but there are many traditional clubs who have played in the top leagues in the Championship next season. Luton v Bournemouth, Fulham v Brentford, there will be better games in the championship next season.
