The Russell Martin Promotion year or this season?
For me it’s this season, regardless of if we go up or not. Although there were some good games in Martins season, I never warmed to him (am I jealous he’s boshed Pinder? Yeah of course) and the football was pretty dire. The 2nd half of this season has been so enjoyable back. |  |

This season, especially since the end of January
Whilst the final against Leeds was a day I will never forget, I found most of the season a chore. Boring possession for possessions sake football under one of the most dislikable managers I can remember
Haven't felt the excitement from last Saturdays game for quite a while and now really looking forward to coming down on Saturday for the Derby match [Post edited 8 Apr 19:55]

No brainer really.
Ok, we went 24 or 25 games unbeaten under Martin (more draws than wins? Cant remember but seem to think it was), but it was the same old tippy tappy boring football to watch, but under Tonda it's exciting football and the players really seem to gel better
I would also add the fact that we had such a crap start under WS that we (well I) honestly thought there was a chance of going down further so it's been an unexpectedly pleasant end to the season. |  |

Spot on. This season's cup run in our 50th anniversary is an absolute joy. This run of games includes some incredible football, not conceding stupid goals, we have a great goalkeeper, 2 proper strikers and players who are giving their absolute all and more. Not felt this confident about a Saints team in a long time. It's very, very convincing. |  |

I'm loving this season but we've achieved nothing yet , so on that basis I preferred the season under Martin.
I really enjoyed the 23/24 season.
The playoff performances were immense.
There was more goals per game in Saints matches that season than anyone else in the Championship and personally I found that quite entertaining! | | | |

The last promotion season saw a minimal goal difference. Now we are winning by bigger margins. I take your point Felly but since we got rid of Still, the football has been scintillating. | |
