Quietly got on with the task of turning his standing at Southampton FC round.
He has started in 32 of our 42 Championship games played plus another 7 off the bench, so involved in all but 3 of our games.
7 League goals scored plus 4 assists, that is a decent return, there are some who would prefer Welington, but although I think he has put in a shift when he has played, I don't think he is better than Manning.
He has started 11 Championship games and 6 off the bench, with just 1 assist to his name. |  |

Manning has been brilliant and whilst we were worried about Welington being injured early in the season, he didn't look as good as Manning when he came on.
The Bree loan is just a weird one. I can only assume he WANTED to go, but now is enjoying life at Saints again. |  |

Manning has been brilliant and whilst we were worried about Welington being injured early in the season, he didn't look as good as Manning when he came on.

In fairness, no one argued when Bree was loaned out, his time at the club had not been great up till his return from the loan at Charlton, he had been low in the pecking order last season to Sugawara & KWP.
We signed Roerslev a right back from Brentford with a lot of experience and then Jelert who can play either side of defence, it wasnt a surprise that he went out on loan and as I said no one was complaining.
We brought him back as we were short at right back with both the Danes injured and so we played a back three, bringing Bree back offered a right back with height so we could switch to a back four | |

Bree is another example of the Tonda Eckert effect. You can see he’s enjoying himself. Our manager has a great quality of bringing the best out of everyone. You feel everyone is together fighting and enjoying themselves. There’s no prima Donna’s here just good hardworking staff. I hope our manager stays here for a while, there’s bound to be interest. |  |

Thats just not true about Bree, there was a thread at the time about it! Last time you said that i posted a link to it. I cant be arsed to find it again. But sending Bree out was a completely dumb move. Even in the prem he was solid as he proved against Fulham and Arsenal.
