Bree's head injury 09:23 - Nov 4 with 1633 viewsSonicBoom

Classic football incident. He went down holding his head then jumped up when play was stopped.
I guess if it stopped them being able to score then im glad, but i also have to acknowledge that it is blatant cheating and if they did it to us id be furious.

Exactly. But how do you stop it? If ref let's play go on and it was real he'd get stuffed. Should he have been booked? Most definitely for deceiving the official

Backfired slightly as he was forced to go off for a period due to concussion protocols.

I got the impression he regretted doing it straight away and felt like a dick.

It’s shite when players do this. Including Saints players.

I would rather not see it. I know others do it, but I would rather we don't. I know I am being old fashioned and not many will see it the way I do.

To be controversial, I am pleased that Saints are no more Mr nice guys. We were far too easy to beat in recent times, completely taken the p out of. No more nicey nicey under Tonda, we are the.bullies no longer bullied and I love it. Tonda has turned us into an aggressive team that is not to be messed with. If you enjoy winning, enjoy an aggressive team that fights aggressively for the shirt then being nasty on the pitch is sometimes necessary. Bree went down in the box when West Brom were attacking. He potentially stopped them getting the 2nd goal and beating us. We win points by whatever means.

It's a lesson to everyone that being nice doesn't win games, battles or wars. If we stopped doing it, other teams would simply take advantage like they used to. It's a game that is all about winning. I would much rather us bully other teams than be bullied. Teams sensing weakness, will just bully.

If that point at West Brom.gets us automatic promotion because he faked an injury and stopped them getting a winner, I don't care. I would rather get promotion than not, even if it means a bit of the dark arts, as every other team is doing it!

Sadly in this day and age of moneyball I agree, we have been too nicie nicie for years, we do need a few Mark Denese's and Terry Hurloch's out there making the game go our way, if that's strong arm tactics or getting an advantage (other than spying) we need it!

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned that Bree took a hell of a knock to the head a couple of games ago, and was maybe having a moment to assess that everything was ok before getting up on his feet again.

It's far from ideal, but cheating is cheating and it"s accepted throughout football unless you are Southampton.
Burnley away a few years back really grates, with play stopped 3 or 4 times due to their "head injuries" when we were chasing the game.

There was contact if you watch the game back. The West Brom player leads with his arm and Bree feels it and goes down. You can't blame him because he's had some bad head injuries lately. Not saying there was full force contact but neither was it zero contact as has been widely alleged.
