Whilst i dont disagree with you Russell Martin has not continually put him in the team, this was the first time he has picked him, in fairness he has to give him a chance |  |

Yeah Nick I meant all the managers that have picked him previously not Martin. I wasn’t criticising Russell . Hopefully we won’t see much more of him. I really don’t understand what managers see in him he makes Mistake after mistake. | |

Surely any new manager will go through replays of Saints games last season and even the season before to see how players perform - their strengths and weaknesses etc, and will have seen McCarthy's near post failures, sloppy playing the ball out from the back (eg first Liverpool goal in the last game of the season) and dodgy kicking. |  | | |
