| Linked with young gambles again - when will Sport Republic learn? 08:05 - Jan 9 with 531 views | PatfromPoole | I see from today's Echo that we have been linked with a young Spurs striker who has been on loan at Notts County and scored 5 goals in the first-half of the season for them. And a young Swiss centre-half who has been playing in Belgium. Belgium??!!?? Every time we sign a player from that League they turn out to be useless (Onuachu and Djenepo are the two most recent which spring to mind). Look, just get a target-man striker with pedigree who will score the dozen or so goals we we need to get us towards the top 6. I have said it before the odd dozen times or so. Throw £10 million or so at Wrexham for Kieffer Moore and see if they cave in. | |

Money making first, team on the pitch secondary. We are Championship/League One now for many years to come until we get a decent owner.

Has anyone else noticed how the future never comes. In the last 5 years we have signed the best part of 50 punts and not one of them has come off. The black box needs an update from windows 3

Spot on Jo. I’ve been saying the same thing for months now. First and foremost a Player Trading Company. Not forgetting of course their Hospitality and Entertainment Businesses at St Mary’s. They don’t want promotion as was confirmed, by I think it was their Mr Parsons saying we couldn’t compete in The Premiership, at the fans meeting at the start of the season. As long as they have a “ vehicle” to show off their prospects, ie The Championship/League One, everything in Sports Republic’s world is fine and dandy.

When I asked about him, his exact words were, " has had some good games, scored a couple of decent goals but form has dropped recently". Just what we need another cheap 'potential' player. They hope they can make their profits, and the team doing well is just an added bonus not a necessity. The team comes second to their profits.
