| Antoine Semenyo 15:41 - Jan 9 with 1245 views | A1079 | I rarely say it and I think you rarely see it these days, but this footballer has conducted himself very professionally in gaining a move from Bournemouth to Man City. He has continued to play to his full potential right up to the final kick with Bournemouth this week, he has not given any negative statements about his current employers or anything and he has ended up moving with the blessing of his current club and fans. | | | | |

Bournemouth will miss him but are equally as likely to unearth another gem nobody has really heard of that will pull up trees for them up front.

However, had Bournemouth said no to the transfer in January, and told to wait until the summer, would he have been so professional then? Perhaps he appreciated Bournemouth's willingness to let him leave mid season and so is being good to them back. Something we will never know. Again though, Bournemouth have dealt with this well, without any dramas. Sides like Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton run their clubs so dam well, despite losing their best players. A good and valid point Southamptonfan. You may be right. Would it have been as positive had the transfer been refused or delayed? I just sense in this case, both sides - club and player have behaved in a mature and pragmatic way.

I agree both clubs and player have behaved well, but in the end Bournemouth have lost a brilliant player to a top club. Bournemouth will suffer the consequences.

I am not sure they will suffer the consequences. You would think so, but Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton go from strength to strength. Bournemouth have lost a lot of good players, Callum Wilson and others. Brentford lost Mbeumo, Ivan Toni and few other top players, add to that losing a great manager Thomas Frank. After all that, they recruit well and are now 5th in the premier league. Saints are just extremely badly run by terrible owners. Our owners sell our best players and then replace them with vastly inferior ones, and our managers get worse, each one in turn. Plus the culture is toxic, whereas at other clubs it's not.
