If you compare the reporting from the Teesside media backing their club, Alfie House on Sky News just now was the exact opposite, he was very negative about our chances and the club itself.
Also in describing the let down that might happen.
Now I am not saying he should have gone down the routes that the likes of Teesside live did, but in a time of crisis you would hope that the representative of the local paper would show some sort of positive vibes, rather than concentrate on the negatives.
In fairness it would have been a good balanced interview, if he was a neutral, but when I read reports of the club whose area they are based in from the the likes of the Portsmouth News Liverpool Echo or other local media, Alfie House had seemed to have very different agenda.

I'm meeting a few of the Pompey antique dealers & house clearance boys that I know well over the next few days in Pompey, Southsea, Emsworth, one based in Arundel. All of them are ardent Pompey fans and every time I meet them to see what they've got, I get "Scummah" this & "Scummah" that with plenty of piss taking both ways of course. Of course I have gloated plentiful about not only making it into the play-offs, but also making it to the final at Wembley!
Since last night, my mobile has buzzed away more times than Bonnie Blue's vibrator with mates from the blue half of Hampshire gleefully taking the piss & looking forward to meeting up over the coming days. The fishy few are even compiling a new song for us next season by all accounts. Where have the supporters, House or the Media been lied to.
His first musings on the subject were that Saints were going to admit the charges and that they would also admit to two more.
That was the exact facts of the matter.
The club have said very little either publicly or privately, so they have not had much opportunity to lie.
At this moment we really dont know much about the situation.
House might be outspoken , but I want the local media to back Southampton FC not take an opportunity to kick them whilst they are down
The club havent taken anyone for Schmucks, perhaps individuals within the club have, but not the club itself.
As they say the crime here is getting caught, if we had played in Saturday's final and won it and then two years later it came out no one would be saying we got taken for schmucks.

Sadly i think Alfie is spot on, this is the worst situation in the clubs entire history.
I wouldnt go anywhere near trying to defend SFC management , who have shown complete incompetence.
The head of Comms is totally out his depth, when it comes to serious situations and why previously we had a london based PR calling the shots. Pre Parsons the CEO was well oiled in PR and thus things were done correctly. [Post edited 20 May 12:18]

Ipswich trained at Eastleigh the day before their game at ST Mary's, they chose to go to the Saints womans fc home ground a club with a close connection to SFC at the moment.
