Let's hope it does. The last thing we need right now is another inquiry rushed through.
Hopefully, the World Cup will put everything on hold, then the EFL season will get under way and we'll be on our way to the top. The media will lose interest and calls for draconian punishment will be forgotten.

It's nothing sinister. These things usually take a very long time and the FA have more important things on their minds right now. What happened to us with the Middlesbrough/EFL inquiry was exceptional. When things are rushed through like that, it doesn't end well. Usually, what is depicted as serious crime by the media when it happens becomes no more than a minor misdemeanour months or years later. [Post edited 9 Jun 13:40]

I'm not a lawyer but think the FA knows it needs to be very careful here before they issue a lengthy ban.
It could take them into a very sticky area of Employment Law. Eckert would obviously not be able to work and the club will be obliged to keep him employed ...can't legally fire him (not that they have any intention of doing that anyway). His contract probably contains a clause saying SFC have the right to slash his wages however.
Our lawyers then appeal the ban and the real fun starts.
Their sole aim initially will be to stretch the whole thing out into the middle distance by scattering sound bites like..double jeopardy...disproportionate penalty..frustration of contract..loss of earnings...mental health bullying and the old kicker...violation of human rights.
Ask for a Sports Resolutions Arbitration and you might see the end of it all by mid 2027 if you're lucky.
Then re-open the original EFL box...fire off some Subject Access Requests for texts/email/taped phone and whatsapps to the EFL and Boro looking for any shenanigans by the plants on the original disciplinary.
Solak seems like he might be willing to bankroll a bit of shithousery here. FA cough nervously, delare a suspended and pop down the steakhouse for a medium rare Chateaubriand washed down with Lafite '82 .

I can't see how they can do much. If they investigate and then in August sometime decide to ban TE for one year, that will give us great cause to appeal as they have now fecked up our season. A punishment cannot be like that. Points off again would be far more likely.
That said, I still cannot see any genuine reason or rationale as to why we were docked 4 points for next season. The punishment was being expelled from the play off final. It seems to me the extra -4 was just out of spite. I would love to see how they justify it. |  | | |

It's indicative of the unimaginative way the Tribunal operated. They basically took -2 x 2 for the Oxford and Ipswich league games and instead of concluding that as we'd already had a massive punishment in this season, they wouldn't impose them, they just applied them next season.
It struck me at the time that we were getting punished in two seasons for the same series of offences. |  |

I do also wonder if the FA are being encouraged by FIFA not to issue a harsh punishment, as if they do then FIFA may then be expected to follow suit and issue a ban which prevents him working overseas.
Which may not be legal, particularly if the spying practices are commonplace in countries like Germany.

Ta much...quick gospel true story from last night in the Ward
Bloke next to me had some funny turn....his son had apparently smuggled him a gummy bear dope sweet.
4 security blokes had to pin him down while nurse shoved in sedative and took blood sample.
When done he leapt out of bed and threatened to rape all the nurses and kill any Doctor who didn't immediately put him in an Uber to go home.
Funny thing is that after a long snooze this pm I spoke to him...seemed surprisingly rational until he told me he was a Gooner...makes sense I guess.
