When a Labour MP says something the chances are it’s the complete opposite of what a working class person thinks. This has been the case for about a decade now as the party lurched to the left. All this anti Trump rhetoric for example, most people might not particularly like him (I think he’s brilliant) but they agree with most of the things he says and does. Aligning ourselves more closely with America, and in particular the populist politics of Trump, is what the people want. | |
