Man City basically saying to Liverpool "Don't get any ideas that you will win the title easily next year. We are not going away".

And Liverpool couldn't care a less now that they have won it.

Not Saints' fans though. We've got to play City next. I was hoping they'd have a demoralising defeat and pick up injuries and red cards.

Vestergaard and Bednarek won’t get much sleep Saturday night!

I suppose the scoreline does prove that City are better than Watford having scored one more, so we'd better be prepared for a harder game

Chelsea beat City and then lose to West Ham and City now slaughter Liverpool that gives us hope that City are a bit patchy so might not be so fired up for this one

Van Dijk looked just like he did when still at Saints before he finally left.
Not interested.

Any teams at the bottom of the PL who are due to play Liverpool (if there are any) will feel that they may get something out of the game. Depends whether last night was a hangover/anti-climax effect or whether they will now just switch themselves off for the rest of the PL and save themselves for the European games coming up.

Given our home form etc etc then Sunday could be a car crash for us.......of course, it had to be on the TV for all to see.

Nice to see Klopp taking the defeat in his stride.

He’s such a humble, sporting fella isn’t he.

He also plays the Liverpool fans like a fiddle, as others have said he is the perfect match for them.

This week, in his open letter to the city following the shameful scenes last Friday which ridiculously Everton fans and clubs got dragged into, Klopp was gushing in his praise of Everton and Ancelotti saying that it’s great to have two clubs in the city, with Everton pushing Liverpool.

This is less than a year from him stating that it was a one club city and couldn’t understand why anyone would support Everton.

In short, Phuck off Klopp.

It was due to reported interest from Liverpool that Martinez gave Garbutt a 5 year 30k a week contract. How depressing.

Probably the best time to play Liverpool for us, being honest, but still fantastic to see us take them apart, after the first 20 minutes.

Great to see Sterling take the p1ss out of Gomez, and what a fantastic performance from Phil Foden, he absolutely looks ready to start trying to fill David Silva's boots next season.

KdB imperious, as ever.

Same again tonight please!

We used to have a very good record against City. It's hard to believe now that we beat City 4-2 at St Mary's in 2016.

I think I waited 17 years to see us win away to you lot.

Steffan Karl with a late winner sometime around Easter for a 0-1 victory I seem to recall !

Foden is a wonderful player. He’s going to be sensational for both City and England, I just hope England have the quality of players around him that he deserves.

I saw him playing when he was about 7 and he was incredible then.
