Spot on. America is still a relatively new civilisation compared to the rest of the world. The idealism hasn’t been worn out of them yet but the last 4 years should have taught them something. The fact that over there they think that the Democrats are left still shows that they have some way to go. You’d think, given how many millions of people have been shafted by “The American Dream” that the penny would have dropped by now. The US has lost its place in the world thanks to 5 years of Trump. Watch China rise now. I have an awful feeling that the US is going to implode. We have been on the edge for a while, but they don’t have the Brit reserve over there and Trump will stir up his supporters to try and ensure that the transition of power doesn’t go smoothly.
I have only one regret about what is happening now. Rudi Giuliani was a huge hero after 9/11 but his stock has sunk so low after hitching his wagon to Trump. [Post edited 7 Nov 2020 0:21]

I saw Rudi Giuliani being interviewed by Pierce Morgan a couple of months ago and thought he’d lost the plot, and seeing him on TV on past few days has only confirmed my feelings [Post edited 7 Nov 2020 9:36]
