Been saying it for a while that Adams is not good enough. Thank god we have points in the bank Can’t wait to see how Nick spins this.

| Saints at Newcastle Matchday Thread on 17:09 - Feb 6 with 929 views | A1079 | JWP and Minamino aside that was a shocking performance by the rest of the team. Stephens and McCarthy appalling first half and McCarthy; did you see what Newcastle did in the 2nd half, they kicked the ball away to protect what they had! Bertrand, Ings, Redmond and Adams completely ineffective and Ings and Bertrand look like they couldn't give a sh*t. There were at least 2 occasions that Bertrand could have got to a ball first and he half heartedly ran for it and lost out. Redmond, how long has he been with us - his final ball is dreadful. Don't know what to say about Ralph but the way we looked in the first half you have to wonder what coaching they did after that 9-0 defeat. We were so open. There is always a team that collapses and we look like that team. Bournemouth were 3rd at one point last year and then fell like a brick and couldn't buy a win. Wolves in the cup and league next. Do we bother with the cup? | | | |
| Saints at Newcastle Matchday Thread on 17:10 - Feb 6 with 924 views | DorsetIan | Not once in the last 15 minutes or so did anyone try to run directly at them. Conditions meant we couldn’t play how might have liked but we should have had more ideas than we showed. No excuses for this one. | |

No one is pleased, just stop being so naive and supporting players who are embarrassing the city.

Stephens was bad but Bednarek was worse. He really needs to be rested. He is in panic mode right now. The back four for Wolves should be Walker-Peters, Vestergaard, Salisu and Bertrand.

100% we bother with the cup, it’s the only route to salvaging some sort of pride. A couple of late season wins and a lower mid table finish won’t mask the embarrassment of the last week I’ve seen enough of Redmond now, he’s never going to step up a gear. Get rid of him and Bertrand. Drop McCarthy. Trouble is the paper thin squad, so these pricks that are scrounging a living get away with it.

| Saints at Newcastle Matchday Thread on 17:16 - Feb 6 with 870 views | TimSaint | Even against 9 men, when we should have been looking to go on and win the game, we still play the same uninspiring way. We were so pedestrian one dimensional and predictable, we really made it easy for Newcastle defend against. I know the conditions weren't great, but the passing was awful and far too many players had off days and we simply can't carry that many passengers. | |

| Saints at Newcastle Matchday Thread on 17:23 - Feb 6 with 830 views | Bridders2 | Why have we gone back to sideways and backwards passing again, I thought we gave that up last year. Earlier this season we ran at defences at pace and created chance after chance. Suddenly we're slow and backwards. The team might be short on confidence, but they've got to be more positive and direct. At least try a move and fail, it's better than holding on to the ball at the back all the time. | | | |
