Prince Harry & Meghan Interview 15:18 - Mar 9 with 6460 viewsSaintNick

From the little I have seen and read it seems to have been a damp squid with Meghan whinging about everything, doesn't seem to have dented the Monarchy much

Personally I loved the bit where she wailed about feeling locked up in a Palace and not wanting to be alive anymore, if we had stuck her in a one bedroom flat in Millbrook she might have had something to moan about

The Queen does not change the "rules" herself - She is the figurehead so nominally everything is done by her - every act of parliament and every law. THe reality is that constitutional tweaks are done by a small team of constitutional lawyers, all of them law lords or QCs on the advice of privy councillors and other trusted figures. THe idea that the Queen personally "changes" the rules on her own whim is absurd. She can choose how she manages relationships within her own family and that is about it.

I think you're incorrect.
The Monarch has the right through Letters Patent to change the rules. George V in 1917 laid out the current rules for Princes and the Queen issued a Letters Patent in 2013 ensuring the (high) status of young George's siblings.
No doubt an army of lawyers advise and do the words but the Monarch has the power to change royal status and has used it, probably not on a whim but we'll never know!

He is incorrect, Prince Charles for example had his leasehold properties exempted from the buy to let law.
The Queen had her income exempted from the law that states you must declare it after lobbying the then prime minister Edward Heath.

I agree.
Why bring up 'colour 'when you are not prepared to disclose in what context it was said?
Why did Harry feel it necessary to tell Megan who was apparently in a depressed state to start with?
I have no problem with Harry and Megan moving to the States but to keep going on about privacy and then go and have an interview that obviously millions will tune in for makes no sense.
The timing is awful with the Pandemic, thousands of people have lost loved ones.
Britain is not a racist country, it has a very small number who are but on the whole we get on with each other very well.
I fear that the more we go on about' colour ' the more likely your going to get right wing fanactics and we dont want that.

I totally agree. An investigative journalistic hopefully would have asked more questions to try and get some context but Harry and Meghan knew what they were doing by lobbing that hand grenade in there. They were also very clever in not naming names as it has effectively tarred most of the family whilst not being stupid enough to besmirch the Queen or her husband. Someone could innocently wondered if the child would be pale like Harry or dark like Meghan.
We have also since learned that although it was Kate who made Meghan cry and Kate bought a card and flowers to make up, when she went to deliver them Meghan apparently slammed the door in her face. Of course no mention of that in the interview because the purpose was to depict them both as victims.
I don’t doubt for one minute that Meghan probably struggled to adjust to life in the RF, but if it true that there was no help in getting mental help support, surely they could afford to get their own help privately?
This to me seems all about building their brand in the US. Good luck to them in their new venture but it is a shame that they had to trash Harry’s family in front of the whole world in order to do so.

It shouldn't detract from the fact it's men doing this, not women, not girls, men, it's men making them feel unsafe, it's men killing them, it's men raping them. It's men that have the problem, until men take their heads out of their own arses and realise it's a problem of men's making people will make barking mad solutions.

A few people may be born psychos but mostly it comes down to parenting. If a boy is raised properly he respects women and elders, if his parents fail to instill that properly or expose him to shit he shouldn’t be exposed to at a young age then he becomes part of the problem.

Male and female parents share these responsibilities

but women also do all those things, to say other wise is wrong, when you can get women rapist and killers, 142 convicted female rapists in 2015, but dont forget, a young male being raped by say a pretty female teacher will hardly call it rape, the lad would be proud...

What she has said is as wrong as saying all muslims should be arrested and locked up because a few are terrorits, which is just fcking retarded.

Its just as safe for a bloke to walk down a dark ally as it is for a female, infact, your more likely to be murdered as a male than a women, lets not pretend males dont get raped, cause they do, just far more unlikely to tell any one.

No he isn't incorrect. Charles does not just unilaterally decide whether or not to exempt his properties from tax and the very idea that the Queen lobbies the Prime Minister is absurd. This is CHarles III we're talking about, not Charles I. As for the Queen she may not be liable to pay tax due to laws that go back to Victorian Times, but in the Zeitgeist of the current century she does vountarily cede an equivalent amount back to the Treasury to make good any benefit. If you're going to google up factoids at least do a sense check and ensure your aren't plagiarising someone who knows even less about it than you do.

What's your point here?

Are you trying to suggest that the streets are just as safe for women as for men, and/or that men and women are equally likely to be violent?

For clarity you're still incorrect on the Queen's ability to change status of her relatives

I don’t think it is helpful to down play the amount of harassment, assaults etc women experience just because of their gender. Yes, men do get murdered and raped but don’t suffer anywhere near the problems that woman have just because of their sex. Most of the women I have spoken to have experienced some kind of sexual harassment by a man. I have not had a conversation with a man who has said that he has been sexually harassed.

31 % of all assaults and murders are female....
quite alot when you consider the 1000's of genders the human race has.

thats not entirely true now is it.. a women called Vanessa George and her friend Angela Allen admited to doing it to children over a 15 year period in a nursery, to male babies and toddlers in which 0 of them reported any offence at all and no one even knew about it for 15 years mate.... so dont tell me its just men cause its a fcking lie. women are just as evil as men, if not worst, cause women as more cleaver about it so never get caught.

Most offenders are the ones who send under age kids by their mothers to pre arranged marages to men old enough to be the kids grand parents. but yet these people are still openly welcome yet are responsible for the most insane abuse of kids the world have ever seen.

Always double standards.

Excellent! You agree that the vast majority of murders are committed by men. It’s a shame that you didn’t mention the stats on sexual harassment and assault, preferring to mention the small number of women who commit these crimes. Until people like you start to understand the severity of the problem and stop pretending that it’s not a problem about men we are going to remain stuck exactly where we are.

31 % of assaults are on females, a whooping 74 % of these assaults are from a friend, or a family member, so that means only 26 % of assaults on women are from a random in the street..

so YES its safer for a women to be out and about than a male who are far more likely to be a victim of an assault or killed by some one they have never met by a whooping 73 %.

Majority of road accidents involve women and old people, should they be banned from driving? because to punish all for a small minority is ok in your eyes right?

Banning Muslims too?

Alcohol too? - well known this one substance is the cause of most crimes in the UK and the world... i dont drink, so i dont care.

They are still men. I suggest you go and talk to a few women about how men treat them. Where the attacks take place it really doesn’t matter. It is the fact that women are not safe with men that you should concern yourself with.

So Harry and Megan want to distance themselves from the Royal Family and live independent lives, fine. Why then name your daughter after the Queen and a woman being famous for marrying the next heir to the throne? Still trading on the Royal name it seems.
