He pulled off several saves and Ralph said he was outstanding in the interview at the end.His only mistake in the last few games was one goal at Wolves apart from that he’s been excellent. The goal against today was due to no marking of Laporte.

Back from a game we could well have won. Guardiola has just said that is the best City have played all season but they were up against a very good side.

The man mountain, Forster, makes such a difference to the team spirit. Ward-Prowse has the heart of a lion. Walker-Peters with a great goal, Salisu, who was top class and whose name got sung a lot, Romeu, Broja, Perraud etc all played well and the St Mary's atmosphere was good as usual. It's one of the most difficult stadiums in the league for an away team to win at, which is why Guardiola seemed happy to escape with a draw. Of course, they were also lucky to draw against us at the Etihad.

Forster was immense. The goal conceded was soft, but he made a number of excellent saves and he is man mountain as you say, giving confidence to the team. He makes difficult saves look easy. Salisu was absolutely incredible. What a performance from him. Perraud impresses me too and of course walker peters. Great result today and proud of the team.

really hope so. No one can say he wont have been given a chance.

If only Bednereks header or Brojas on had gone in, then it might be a win we are celebrating tonight.

Also a good substitution from Ralph taking Bednarek off having got a yellow with the way City players were looking to get a player sent off. As for Laporte and calling down after the VAR announcement just about simmed them up when clearly we were getting at them
Forget the 70% possession or whatever it was, they were stumped!

Forster had a good game today.
When you have someone like Kevin de bruyne who can take a free kick like he does, its not surprising defences get caught out is it?
Forster made some good saves and has a commanding presence in his area, Man City had a huge percentage of the game in our area and he stood tall against the tide that came at him.

He was excellent and is so much better than McCarthy. I have to think there’s a pay out clause for final year of his contract linked to appearances that previous owner didn’t want to honor. I think he’s too good to be number 2 to a new signing

He pulled off 4 saves actually and 2 of those 4 were basically straight at him, it was just that sterling one and the KDB one from outside the box where he parried it out for a corner that he actually had to do a bit to save them. Look he made a great save against Sterling, but that was meaningless as he messed up for the Man City goal which he was definitely at fault for, so in the end he had a game where he did as much good as he did bad (although I will also give him credit for his time eating skills)

Yeah well there’s a reason why we’ve kept loads of clean sheets when McCarthy was in goal and haven’t kept a single one with Forster in goal, as other than the Spurs game he’s ether been poor or just average. But hopefully we can get in Henderson or Johnstone so that we all agree on who should be our number 1

We had a good transfer window last time out . Broja, Perraud ,Livramento ,Small even Lyanco have been great additions despite reservations by some including yourself mate. I just wish we had a stronger centre back to play with Salisu but Fair play to the scouts.

I think we need to wait till the end of the season before we can judge. Livramento and Broja look fantastic. Perraud is steady but and hasnt been handled that well by Ralph IMO. I suspect when Livramento is back, KWP will be the left back again. Ive not seen Small so cant comment and Lyanco scares the crap out of me when hes on the pitch. Would have preferred us to get in a Cahill type.

Getting rid of bertrand, Ings and Vestgaurd has been a master stroke though, they are all o the down trajectory.

On the flip side Armstrong hasnt worked out as yet.

Yes.with Forster back in goal, we look like the team we used to be in 2016 when he was in goal: a match for anyone. It's been a long road back.

How typical that MOTD dosent have Saints - City in the first 2 games for the running order.

Well how they put the two 1-0’s ahead doesn’t make sense whatsoever as they were both expected results which were pretty boring games, yet leave our one and also the Norwich-Watford and Brentford-Wolves games that actually had a few more goals and interesting things, near the end!?
Makes 0% sense but I guess that’s just MOTD

Well said Grumpy, our defending of those wide free kicks is perilous with the high line, if a team has a player who can put it on a nut like De Bruyne we are always vulnerable, we need the centre halves to mark players rather than just running into space

Well done Ralph Hassenhüttl.
Picked the right formation with each player playing in a position they are comfortable playing in.
Long may it continue…

I think that maybe because ours was an evening game may have something to do with it. But unless we score or concede 8+ we are rarely first .

Fantastic team effort, I thought Salisu was immense and great finish from the vibrant KWP..need to nail down Broja's services.

What a brilliant game yesterday, St Marys was rocking, the crowd really got behind the team today and it showed. KWP and Romeu had that girl Grealish in their pockets, Salish was immense, Broje started getting the service he needs from Armstrong who looked likes he is getting back to normal. Redmond is showing that he is the weak link that everyone knows he is and should be swapped for Diallo from now on in. Forster had a good game the goal aside which was just rank bad defending. If we can keep this going who knows Europe beckons. COYR.

I disagree about Redmond. Great pass to the incoming Kyle Walker Peters for the goal, and was drawing the City defence out and leaving them exposed. How is that a weak link?
Diallo wasn't on for long, and wasn't able to contribute a lot in that short spell. Also Elyounoussi didn't do a lot when he was brought on....should've kept Redmond on, especially when he was playing well. Guardiola is his mentor, don't forget.

Apart from the pass to KWP I thought Redmond had his poorest game for a while yesterday. I assumed he may have been carrying a knock when he was changed at half time. Elyounoussi was even poorer than Redmond in the second half. The only real negative from yesterday’s game I can think of.

Quick word on the City fans. Quiet as anything we’ve seen down at St Mary’s this season until they scored their goal then within a minute giving it the old your support is f*ckin sh1t bollox. Oh the irony. Burnley and their handful of fans they bought were better than that.

City really are some team. It’s not often I’ll say I enjoyed watching a visiting team but for a 1-1 draw I really did enjoy that game yesterday. I’ve never really celebrated winning a 1-1 draw but that’s what it felt like yesterday.

As for the VAR decisions. I think we got a bit lucky with S Armstrong’s challenge. Seeing it real time at the game I thought, he’s off here. It’s nice to get one go our way for once!

Can someone please confirm if the mobile signal is blocked in St Mary’s during the game? I needed to send a text quite urgently and tried before and during halftime. Absolutely nothing doing.
